I think the readers are pretty clear in this instance. But you have to admit it makes pretty entertaining fodder.
Yes, so many expert readers with evident dyslexia.
Absolutely everything in this thread aside, consider that it all ended with the semi-famous WT owner and me shaking hands (virtually) on a token settlement - which included me declining some pretty generous freebies, as I wasn’t after any such thing - and then he failed to follow through on that essentially nickel-and-dime conclusion.
QED.
That’s right: When practically everyone has “reading comprehension problems” or think you’re in the wrong, the only possible reason is that they’re all Teh Stoopids.
No, you’re just a shockingly poor writer who pays so much attention to your pompous… mannerisms designed to convince everyone of your supposed eloquence and brilliance that you can’t tell a simple story of who did what to whom and how. I mean, come on:
So Matman offered you a token settlement? No, wait, there were generous freebies, which you disdained with a haughty sniff. Ah, but it was really a nickel-and-dime settlement, which he then reneged on. Seriously, work on your writing, because your vagueness and inconsistency make your stories borderline incoherent.
Agreed. Maybe you can hire a communication agency to help you improve!
I dunno, don’t you need some sort of specialist for that?
AB, I can’t believe they are beating you up again over this. I cried the first time.
AB got screwed like his doppelganger Ron Jeremy.
I think you are missing the entire point, which is that he totally got the attention of a semi-famous person in the auto accessory industry.
Please. Not unknown in the auto accessory industry.
Snort!
This thread smells like a zombie, ew.
Yay!!! Go Me!!! I was finally able to make the first zombie joke!!! I am so in with the in crowd here at the dope!!! People will finally love me!!! I am so cool!!!
Is semi-famous the same as not-unfamous, or are they separate levels of non-uncelebrity?
I finally bought a new truck so had to let my mats go with the old one. But they still looked good. And, yep, I’ve ordered a set for my new truck.
When everyone tells you that you’re wrong, you should probably reconsider your position. He refused to discuss the matter with WeatherTech’s damage limitation guy, and made himself look silly. He then compounded the error by claiming he had received some kind of apology and accommodation from the owner, even though he had already refused to engage with them.
But whatever. It looks like he hasn’t posed here since last year. Hopefully his daughter’s footwells are dry.
I’m very sorry to hear about this trying time in the OP’s life. I’m hoping that 4+ years has been long enough to heal such a profound wounding. I only wish there was something I could do to help him and his family through this epic tragedy.
Sleudian Fripp?
I know this thread is ancient, but since it’s been resurrected I’m replying - I agree with Mustardseed and AB. When I have a problem with a product or service and I call their help line I expect help. Not a weaselly answer that leaves me holding the bag.
I’m going thru this same crap with Schwinn. It will end up costing me almost $100 out of my pocket and I don’t have a bike. If you have a service rep or a technician online, they should be the to help, but in these cases all the companies have are breathing robots to field the calls. Yeah, some dude lifted on here for AB to contact him, but why did it get to that point? Shitty customer service is why.
So I pit Schwinn and WeatherTech.
What’s your Schwinn problem?
And what’s your problem with robots?
