Fuck you Mel's dad, fuck you.

A brilliant and definitely well-researched conclusion to what really happened to all those darn Polish Jews. “Now where did, I put those damn things, work camps? No… concentration camps? No. Oooh, ooooh forgot to check the gas chamber! Fuck, not there either, dammit! I’m going to be late for the premiere… ummmm…did I leave them in my pants? Nooo, oh yeah!! Now I remember! theyre in Brooklyn!”

His sense of timing is impeccable.

And another thing, will you people(Jews) please quit staging all these historical events? How are we supposed separate fact from fiction when you’re constantly behind the scenes, with your devilish Hollywood magic, trying to make the good people of America believe you are the most pesecuted people on earth, or that a MAN actually walked on the MOON!

I guess Mel’s old man must have seen “Conspiracy Theory” one to many times. Oh… wait, that can’t be it, nobody saw “Conspiracy Theory.” I guess he’s just a jerkoff. Mel’s dad, please shut the fuck up, the order goes like this:teacher voice THINK…thennnnn SPEAK.

I have to imagine that, somewhere in Mel Gibson’s mind, tucked within the love and respect he has for his father, is a little voice saying, “Drop dead you old bastard!”

What a maroon.
I’ll bet Mel just wishes he’d shut up, as I’m sure that “honor thy father and thy mother” commandment he is sticking to could be lapsed for a while. I think thats his motivation about “not speaking out against him.”

There is no Hutton Gibson. I mean, has anybody here actually seen him, in person?
It’s all part of the Conspiracy to make Holocaust deniers look like idiots, and cover up the real truth!

the fools, they’ve bought it! Now on to Stage 2…

yeah, what a maroon…

I’m gonna start slipping that into conversation…

Cheers.

The scary part is this IS Hutton thinking before he speaks. It is just terrifing to realize this shit actually goes on in his head.

Yeah, I saw that article in todays paper about M.G.s dad and his deliriums. I didn’t read it though. I for one don’t give a shit about what some senile old fuck has to say. Oh, he’s M.G.s dad. So the fuck what. Quit reading and regurgitating the tripe and the media might get the idea that the masses don’t really care what some occluded octogenarian has spewed from his bile duct.

Sorry buddy, I’ll try and get more on your intellectual level, mkay? I’m not jumping up and down over here, and I didn’t post the rant because it’s some Hollywood star’s father spewing, in case you haven’t noticed, holocaust denial is a real aspect of the whole “Jews run the world and eat babies” conspiracy. If you’re too cool to care, you ultra-hipster, you, why’d you bother to post?

On a related note, I generally despise and detest Mel Gibson for the hypocritical, megalomaniacal, narrow-minded (he thinks his wife may be going to hell because she’s Anglican), homophobic , addicted-to-addiction SOB that he is, but I don’t hold his paternity against him and wish that interviewers would stop asking him about his father. It puts him into an impossible position: denounce the crazy old bastard who raised you and whom you know is a crazy old bastard but you still love him, or be accused of sharing his views.

I have no idea whether THE PASSION is antisemitic (I definitely believe it’s probablyhistorically inaccurate and homophobic [Herod Antipas, a biblical villain who was in fact straighter than the road to hell, is portrayed as gay] and misogynistic [Satan is portrayed by a woman in defiance of all scripture]) but whatever the case I’ll judge it on its own merits and not because of Mel’s dad. My mother is an ardent racist, homophobe and raving hypocrite, but she IS my mother and there is much good in her and I have a duty to always love her even if I detest her views. In several books about the children of Third Reich officers and politicians the sons of such horrible fathers as Bormann and Eichmann* acknowledge that their fathers were evil and responsible for millions of murders and yet they feel great guilt because they were good fathers and their sons still love them, and I can understand both the guilt and the love. Mel deserves the same consideration.

(*Eichmann has two sons who are ardent neo-Nazis and another who completely disavows his father’s philosophy; Bormann’s son is a priest who once changed his name and has been honored by Jewish groups for his charitable acts, but says he still loves the man who hugged him, taught him to fish, etc., even as he believes he’s in hell.)

Sampiro , I had no idea the press hounded Gibson’s father this much. Shows you how much I follow the lives of the stars. I agree Mel shouldn’t be taken to task for the views of his father nor should he have to renounce him to prove anything to anyone. Maybe I should read before I write.

I can’t wait to see The Passion of the Christ. I’m dying to see how it ends.

Yeah, Diane Sawyer spent an inordinate time on his father during their interview. Mel basically said pleadingly “He’s my dad…”

Jesus clicks his heels together three times and says “There’s no place like heaven”. Unfortunately this causes an arterial spray in said feet that almost got it an X-rating. (My dream movie would be Quentin Tarantino’s PASSION.)

I think I first read about Mel Gibson’s dad Hutton 8 years ago. The guy’s a nutter-- and many people agree with him. Just be glad that most of those people are old, and will soon die.

Or they’ll vote Republican, once again.

“Did you see a sign on my cave that said ‘Dead Messiah Storage’?”

I expect headlines like “Hutton Gibson to Jews: FUCK U ALL OFF” within the near future.

One way Mel could have “honoured” his father would be to have made a movie about the holocaust instead of the final days of Jesus (which has left a bitter taste in many Jews’ mouths, and has been claimed to be untrue and damning by the Simon Wisenthal Centre). In doing this, Mel could have relieved his dad of ignorance.

That being said, who the fuck is this guy anyway? Unfortunately, the media is giving him airtime. By the same token, he is given some kind of credibility by association, by some nutjobs eager for feed. Gibson’s father speaks here:

The movie isn’t even fully released now, yet the Simon Wisenthal Centre receives letters daily such as this one (bolding the author’s):

What the hell is Mel and Dad thinking? Doesn’t matter. It has only made us stronger. Many synagogues have enjoyed “standing room only” congregation attendance lately, especially when the rabbi was to talk about this situation.

I can’t think of a better way to end this post than to remind you that Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Day) is coming up on April 29th. Let’s all make a point of commemorating the day, especially this year … Just for Mel’s dad

When I read that, I laughed so hard it hurt. Thanks

Suppose I should make a comment on the OP. Mel’s dad’s an asshole. I dislike Mel Gibson for some reason, I honestly don’t know why. I can say for sure that it isn’t his father though.

Mel Gibson: “God is the only one who knows how many children we
should have, and we should be ready to accept them.”

What a nutjob!

Does Mr. Gibson Sr. garner alot of airtime in Europe or Oz or something? Or am I just totally out of touch? This is the first I’ve heard of him, I thought he was just responding to all the accusations of anti-Semitism being thrown concerning his son’s movie(in an obviously less than helpful manner).

Like Fred Phelps, he’s actually a brilliant man (not the simpleton bigot he’s sometimes portrayed as) who happens to be nuttier than a Stuckey’s log-like product. He was a railroad worker in upstate NY whose oldest sons (he had 11 kids, one of whom died in childhood) were entering draft age during Vietnam so he went on Jeopardy (the Art Fleming incarnation), won $10,000 (a huge sum for the show in the 1960s) and relocated his entire clan to Australia to avoid fighting in what he saw as an unwinnable and unjustifiable war (with more justification than his views on Jews, blacks, modern Catholicism and other issues). For the past few decades he’s published a newsletter entitled The War is Now, a screed against liberalism which refers to the current pope as Garrulous Karolus and various western and religious leaders as The Koran Kissers, warns about the sins of modern society and the Jewish control of the media (which they use to spread “lies” about the Holocaust), gays, Masons, etc. etc… After Mel become a superstar he relocated to Houston to be nearer to Mel and some of his other kids who came back to the U.S…

There’s a photo of him here if you’re interested.
