The one good thing about the Oath Keepers situation is that of Kim goes back to jail, it will be because she first went to court where the Oath Keepers won’t be allowed, then got whisked away by Federal Marshals. It’s not like they’re going to arrest her on the street or at home. The Oath Keepers shouldn’t have a chance to “defend” her unless they plan on attacking the Marshal vehicle or raid the jail or courthouse.
He was an evangelist long before he became a media host and a governor, and he remains an evangelist. His conception of reality is far different from most folks’, with the primary two differences being his certainty that whatever he believes is real because JAYSUS, and that JAYSUS rules because JAYSUS. Nothing else exists for him.
Since nothing else exists for him, he does not pay much attention to how law functions, so in his own little fetid excuse for a mind, he confuses legal concepts that he does not understand, and consequently is a dada generator when he opens his yap.
We received two originals from the district office in Bangkok where we registered our marriage, one for each of us to hold onto. The wife has had to show hers to the US Embassy every 10 years as part of documents required to renew her visa. I’ve had to show mine at various times to Thai Immigration as well as to other agencies pertaining to benefits we get from the wife’s civil-servant status. For example, our first two years of marriage were spent in some rather choice housing reserved for government officials like the wife, and the only way I was allowed to stay there too was proof of marriage in the form of the district-issued marriage certificate.
That said, now allow me to take the opportunity to yell a hearty FUCK YOU, KIM DAVIS! myself.
He’s going to preserve and defend what he believes the Constitution looks like. You know, without actually reading it so that he doesn’t have to worry about the parts he doesn’t like.
Not surprisingly, many people are calling the clerk’s office to express their opinions. That would be the office of the Rowan County Clerk where Kim Davis works.
Caught in the cross fire is Kim Tabor who works at the office of the Rowan County Circuit Court Clerk. She’s apparently getting quite a few calls and has taken to wearing a custom printed shirt stating her names is *NOT * Kim Davis.
Got to feel a little bad for Tabor for being wrongly targeted.
We had the same confusion in this very thread, when somebody cited law governing removal of circuit clerks (which is not unreasonable since in most states the circuit and county courts share a clerk).
As a self proclaimed leftist none of what I say can be trusted. Despite that I’ll go ahead and condemn any genuine wishes of physical harm for Mrs. Davis. There are more than sufficient non-violent methods at our disposal to punish this person.
Having said that - my goodness. Stories like this remind me of the vast, virtually untapped natural resource that is American Stupid.
Hey get in line. She’s had 3 or 4 husbands already, you need to wait your turn. Some inbred hick is probably elbow-deep in thrice used pussy right now and there’s a lot of cleanup if you want her afterwards
While I personally don’t wish harm to her those who want to harm Kim Davis are merely following the bible.
[QUOTE=Deuteronomy 17:12]
And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.

Apparently the bible says contempt of court is a capital offense. Seems strict, but who am I to judge?
