Curse this whole thing. It’s actually made me sorry for the true Catholics who really adore the Pope and worship his little Pope-y shoes and it’s this harridan of a woman who got to meet him, whether it was in a group or not. I can’t imagine how cheated all of the other Catholics must feel - she gets to meet him, by being nothing more than a big fat lying jerk, who doesn’t even submit to the Pope’s authority, and they don’t meet him, nowhere, nohow. Considering how badly Philly did, most of them couldn’t even get to where they could see him from a distance.

“kept secret” – really means this is supposed to be a private moment between you and the pope - not something to publicize. In Ms. Davis case - they likely wanted to avoid a press onslaught as well (for the person that actually invited her, he knew more about her than anyone overall)

And what he makes up. I think a lot of this saga is due to him or groups he’s affiliated with. He works for the Liberty Counsel. She was in Washington for the Values Voter Summit, put on by the Family Research Council. Without even looking them up, we should all know when we see names like these that appear so wholesomely and red, white and blue American, that they’re really thinly veiled right wing hate groups. I would like to be a fly on the wall and see how much of this is orchestrated by them.
