Miller immediately posted a rebuttal that was pointed and direct and sufficient. The following posts were vile. And reduced my respect considerably for two Dopers whom I’ve come to admire over the years for the quality of their characters as expressed by their posts.
Yes, BigT lashed out in response. That’s what sometimes happens when bullies gang up on the vulnerable. Nothing about BigT’s response makes sense. That’s because it’s not a response to the facts, it’s a response to people being douchebags.

Technically that would be something like “super absorbent”. “Self-absorbent” implies that the thing has absorbed itself and therefore presumably vanished from existence.
