Fuck everyone who belongs to any PACs, or writes letter to their congressmen, or believes in any cause, save the one I put my personal seal of approval on!
How DARE Tim Tebow think and speak freely.
What the hell is this country coming to??

Oh, fuck off. Tebow has the right to support those bigots, and dalej42 has the right to pillory him for that.
Edit: Shit, I forgot about the language restriction. Mea culpa. I’m not going to edit that out because I think that breaking the rules and then editting it out would be openning an even bigger can of worms.
It’s not the country. These posters get outraged over one small facet of a person’s makeup. I’m sure none of them know Tim Tebow, but he has been convicted and found guilty of disagreeing with them.
Of course, every person most likely has a wrong belief or two. But the posters here are not interested in anything but venting their outrage about religious people.
What they are interested in is getting attention and vindication of their self-image (which is central to their ego - if you disagree with them, you are implicitly questioning their worth as a human being in their minds).
So of course, lots of people paying attention to a football player hurts their self-esteem. It’s sort of sad, in a way. Posting stuff in the pit that everyone will agree with is a way for them to make up for the blow to their ego.
SEC QBs are usually failures,Rest easy.
Kinda harsh OP.
Vick was a (with any luck, reformed) vicious bastard. Tebow just seems like dope.
This will just make the future revelations of Tebow’s locker room grabass escapades that much more delicious.
Do you mean like Joe Namath, Ken Stabler, Bart Starr, Peyton Manning, Archie Manning, Eli Manning, Fran Tarkenton, and George Blanda?
Except for those guys you’re probably right, assuming you mean that they don’t pan out in the NFL when you say “failure”.
It’s coming to women being treated as an underclass, doctors being assassinated in the street, millions of unwanted children being raised in abusive environments, and religion dictating the law, if Tim Tebow gets his way.
Well, I guess you know Cardinals are gonna be anti-abortion…
Yeah, I don’t think I’ve seen a single mock draft that has him being picked in the 1st round.
You forgot to mention the sky falling.
So this is the same Tim Tebow who chose the wrong Bible verse to write underneath his eyes and pissed off God so that he lost the big game, right?
You’re just trying to make us feel good!
Sucks for you! I know for a fact he will revolutionize the NFL from a brand new hybrid position, designed specially for him. Jesusback!
 Yeah, he’s a fundie Jeezer, but he’s a fucking football player. He’s not Hitler.
So let me get this right.
YOU are wanting someone to get hurt so bad that it impairs his ability to make money because he has an opinion that differs from yours. Check!
YOU post it here to feel good about the venomous hate that is spewing forth from your mouth because his opinion differs from yours. Check!
Move along, nothing new here.
Good thing he isn’t a politician…Yet.
If you are getting your moral and ethical guidance from professional athletes, your cultural standards from politicians, your economic theories from movie stars, your ideas about government from radio windbags and your medical advice from TV ads, I am afraid you are doomed to a life of bitterness and disappointment.
I have never understood the idea that God the Father Almighty, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, the Lord of Lords, takes a personal interest in the doings of football players or that those same players have a direct line to the Godhead. I suppose we can chalk that up to inflated ego or simple mindedness, or both.
Who cares what the ex-U of Texas QB thinks about anything.
Nitpick: Tebow was the Florida Gators’ QB.
Or him either.
I’ve noticed this a few times when people get called out for promoting their oppressive beliefs. I don’t know if people like Kearsen are intentionally straw-manning their opponents’ position, or just too stupid to understand the nuances, but just in case it’s the latter, allow me to help you: When my beliefs are correct and promoting towards liberal democracy, and someone else believes that homosexuals should be denied equal rights, that women should be turned into baby-making machines with no free will, that Jews should be put into camps, etc etc etc, OF COURSE people who believe differently than me is wrong and deserving of contempt, and OF COURSE I would object to him continuing to push his beliefs without consequence. Tim Tebow is anti-abortion, and thus, necessarily, hates women and is in league with murderers and theocrats. It’s easy to see why he doesn’t deserve to get off scot-free with his abhorrent troglodytism.
People who disagree with me about what the best pizza toppings are or whether Tiger Woods’s wife hit him with a golf club aren’t bad people and don’t deserve to have their livelihoods affected for their beliefs. It’s not about the fact of disagreeing with me. People who believe evil things (such as that a nonsensical mid-nineteenth-century invention of Christian doctrine which so earnestly defines a zygote as a person that it is willing to kill actual people over it, due to an elevation of squeamishness over female sexual autonomy to a moral principle) are evil people, and someone wishing abstractly on the Internet that such people would shut up is literally the least that such people deserve.
