No, no, please no: Tebow

I’m a longtime Denver Broncos fan and I’ve been really hoping for the team to get its mojo back after Elway retired. But Tim Tebow is a despicable human being and a force of evil. He’s a religious fanatic with an equally fanatical following. He aggressively promotes anti-abortion activists.

If he becomes the leader of a successful Denver Broncos, I’m going to be really depressed.

Aggressive? Did you actually see the Super Bowl ad?

Taking out an ad during the superbowl to promote an anti-abortion agenda is about as aggressive as you can get.

I don’t get it. Are we just now reacting to a two year old story?

But yea, your kinda defining “religious fanatic” down. I disagree with the guy about abortion (and a lot of other things, I suspect), but he’s got a ways to go before I’d call him a fanatic. Call me when he sets himself on fire infront of an abortion clinic or something.

ETA:

No its not

It was an improbable comeback, but to give the credit to Tebow isn’t really fair. The first TD was made by Tebow throwing underneath a really disinterested Miami prevent defense. The one long play was a short pass and a long run by the receiver against a linebacker who just gave up.

The special teams made a great onside kick, and the second TD was set up by a wobbly pass that the tight end made a miraculous catch on. Other than the last five minutes (when he was merely OK) Tebow was abysmal.

Didn’t he weep?

I’ll admit to exaggeration – a superbowl ad is not the most extreme act possible. I think it’s the product of his high profile X the extremity of his beliefs that I find so disturbing.

The point is really a selfish one: If Tebow becomes successful as Denver QB, his viciousness will be far more unavoidable than it was when he was a third stringer with a bizarre, cultish following. There are many who are far worse than he, but none who I have to deal with as much. So sucks for me.

Sing it brother.

I was with him on that.

By the way, isn’t it nice to know that Our Lord Jesus Christ[SUP]TM[/SUP] has enough time on His hands to guide Tim Tebow to a floundering, skin-of-the-teeth victory?

…over the worst team in football.

He or she is omnipresent.

As opposed to the 0-6 Dolphins, whose defense isn’t even present.

He or She works in mysterious ways… :stuck_out_tongue:

Jesus, this guy can’t catch a break. Every time he wins, everyone comes out to say “yeah, but…”

Can’t catch a break; that certainly describes Tim Tebow’s life.

With 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter he was 3-10 with 24 passing yards. Good luck doing that and coming back against any team with a pulse.

I’m just sick and tired of hearing about how he’s the second coming of Jesus Christ. That’s all you hear on ESPN and Versus and Fox Sports News. It’s like, I’m tired of hearing about Tim fucking Tebow! Enough already!

The NFL this year is full of backups taking over the limelight, whether it’s QBs, RBs, WRs. Get used to hearing about it. In the sports world, that’s what counts as news.

What i find amazing about this tebow clown is that he plays horribly, but gets results. Results matter.

And I’m sick and goddamn tired of the haters blasting the guy. He’s a good kid, sincerely religious, and an excellent role model. You aren’t going to read about Tebow getting arrested for beating a woman, driving drunk, being involved with dog fighting, or any of the other crap some popular pro athletes do.
