Fuck You, Voters

But he’s a Starving Artist!!

Guess that’s one of those ironic handles, like Curly for a bald guy (nyuk nyuk). Guess we should rename him Obese Oligarch.

must… Not… Fap!

Bulwer-Lytton winner!

I’ve known a lot of Texans in my life. Some were good people, but most were loudmouths and cowards just like you. Just keep hiding behind Rand’s apron strings, you fucking limpdick.

Just saw this post. Those dicks just keep poking through the wall, don’t they?

Keep howlin’ . . .

Cute workaround.

Do you eat lots of bananas? Slowly and lovingly?

Who the fuck knows. There was a small campaign against saying it would hurt local wineries as they would then have to compete against hard alcohol on supermarket shelves. But that was seriously about it. Oh yeah, I guess I saw a sign that said, “I-1100, too extreme for Washington” as if it’s completely radical to let adults buy alcohol at the grocery store.

I’ll feed you intel. :frowning: He ain’t winning though.

Fuck anyone who doesn’t bother to vote.

It didn’t vote exactly the same as my ballot.

The radical of one century is the conservative of the next. The radical invents the views. When he has worn them out the conservative adopts them.

Mark Twain (1835 - 1910), Notebook, 1935

The Tea-party schmuck by me had blue lawn signs with a red star in the middle. I was wondering for a while where I’d seen a star that same size and colorbefore. Now that he got trounced, I need to grab up a few before they all disappear because I know next year I’ll be taking the family to Wildwood…

I do believe in self reliance and individual responsibility. But I don’t believe that death should be the penalty for failing to be economically successfull. 45,000 people die in this country every year consistant with your vision of “self reliance”. When a belief, carried in to practice, results in scores of dead bodies and needless suffering, I think that belief should be reconsidered.

We give health care to convicted murderers, child molesters, and terrorists in prison. If we have enough humanity to give health care to these low lifes, are those guilty of the “crime” of being poor not also worthy of our compassion?

See, right there is a sentiment I’ve been pondering lately. I have trouble deciding if I’m more in line with Libertarians or Democrats. I strongly, strongly believe in personal responsibility. So I had a real dilemma on my hands, because things like the Health Care Bill felt right despite that conviction.

So I finally figured it out. I am fine in most cases where someone learns a painful lesson by making a shortsighted decision. If you fuck up and have to struggle for a while, I don’t care. But when it comes to things like Welfare, or Health Care, the penalty for fucking up without a system in place can be death. And one, that’s too harsh a penalty for a mistake or a failure to prepare for bad luck. Two, more importantly - to paraphrase Jim Carrey in Batman Forever - If you kill’em, they won’t learn nothin’. One might counter-argue that their NEIGHBORS will learn a lesson, but I’ve got thousands of years of human history to refute that.

So, yeah.

I bothered. Not a single person I voted for won. Can’t I get fucked too?

Oh, you’re fucked alright.

Sure they’ll throw out healthcare and the people will still have nothing because they won’t bother to fix what they say is wrong with it, they’ll just throw it out. Then they’ll waste more time trying to throw out other policies he put in place so they can get back to raping the environment and they’ll also try to find dirt on Obama so that they try and impeach him. And once again nothing will get done for the people because the two parties will be fighting each other like a bunch of naughty, selfish entitled brats on a playground.

When it comes to HC, there is nothing for the federal government to “fix.” The federal government just needs to stay out of HC.

That isn’t true. You obviously don’t understand the issues, so maybe you should take a moment to brush up on them before you make yourself any worse?

Government run healthcare is vastly more efficient than our system. This is a fact. If you choose not to believe facts because they conflict with your ideology, you’re simply not an honest person.

Could you define “vastly more efficient?” I’ve only heard anecdotes about the wait times in Canada, for example.
