I am not claiming that eating a lot of food, eating the “wrong” food, or not exercising will always cause a particular person to become fat. If you’re lucky enough to have a high metabolism (e.g. Crafter_Woman), then there’s nothing to discuss. But the converse is almost always true, i.e. if you’re fat then it is very likely caused by overeating, not exercising, etc. In other words, if a person is fat, they should recognize that they’re eating more than they’re burning, and make appropriate adjustments to their diet & exercise plans.

The implication here, of course, is the belief that “being fat is not good.” From a health and well-being standpoint, this is (in general) a true statement.

And eating the wrong food and not exercising is good for you if you are thin??
