I’m sure you saw this coming, and purposely put it here to be controversial, but what does her size have to do with her very sketchy, and quite possibly false connection to the 9/11 attacks?

Oh, I dunno. She had opportunity to have people view her with admiration and all she had to do was tell a lie that didn’t hurt or defraud anyone. I can imagine embellishments being added over the years, which unfortunately lead to inconsistencies.

She’s probably screwed up in the head, but I’d like a few details about your psychology credentials. Tania/Alicia sounds like a fame whore, but at least she did some good - even if it was unintentional - for real WTC families. And other than the attention, I don’t think she profited from her lies or took money away from families that needed it. It’s bad, but it could be a lot worse.

Without the photograph, you would have had no idea she was overweight. Neither she nor the reporters nor anyone quoted in the story felt it was an issue.
I would agree that she appears to have emotional/psychological problems. I note, however, that she has employed her problems in a way that has actually been used to help other people, (because even with all the fantasy she has spun, acting as the director of the survivor’s group probably resulted in some people receiving aid).
You, on the other hand, appear to employ your emotional problems only to whine and complain that the world is not the way ypu want it to be, going out of your way to cast apersions on people who do not meet your “standards” of perfection and irritating large numbers of people on the internet with your childish complaints.

That’s the part that makes it so pathetic - that she did it all for ATTENTION. I mean, I could at least understand it if she was getting some cash out of the deal…everyone needs money. But that fact that it was purely for “LOOK AT ME”-ness just makes me cry.

Thanks. If I’d meant troll, I’da said troll. I didn’t meant to suggest that his only motivation was to stir up trouble. I believe he finds these subjects interesting and worth discussing. Usually, they are. I believe, however, that he *frames *them in such a way as to reinforce his sense of himself as, well, as the little boy in the Emperor story: the only one courageous enough to speak the truth.
Well, if you *are *sincere here, I wish you’d give it some serious thought. And consider such things when posting here: are you presenting your ideas honestly, for an honest response, or are you stacking the deck a little, trying to control the response you’re likely to get by poisoning the pot a little? To the degree that it’s the latter, you get to A) maintain your nonconformist credentials, and B) indulge in a little self-pity for your martyrdom.
