Last year I got a FreeDrive account, which at the time offered 40 MB of storage. Seemed like a cool idea, though I only used it a couple of times to take advantage of my faster connection at work by downloading files which I could later get from my home machine (since downloading from FreeDrive was much faster than from the original site).
A few months later I got an email from FreeDrive to the effect that only 20 MB of storage was now free and if you wanted more you had to pay for it. No biggie, 20 MB is plenty.
Today I logged into FreeDrive intending to upload my resume so I could print it on the library’s PC (since I lack a printer), and what did I find but:
What the fuck?!? First of all, I was never notified of the limit dropping from 20 to 5 MB. Second, how can they continue to call it FreeDrive when you have to open your wallet to do anything more than see the pretty “My Drive” screen?
Shit. I guess I’ll have to see if the library lets you open a Word document on a floppy.
