Obstruct any activity, then decry the inaction of their opponents. “The Democrats are so evil for not reducing their bill package and refusing to negotiate with Republicans after the election prior to the administration change!” Um, what about the time from June to November where the Republicans refused to take up any legislative activity, even though the House passed a bill? 6 months of stalling and bad faith and obstruction, yet it’s the Democrats who decide to wait 3 months instead of water down their plan yet again who are the obstructionists. Right.

Some dumbass on TV being interviewed about his vaccine reluctance was asked what it would take for him to get the vaccine, and he replied something like “If I thought I was hurting someone by not getting the vaccine, I would get it. I’m not flying anywhere. If I were, then I’d get the vaccine.” 
You dipshit! That’s exactly the point! You don’t have to be flying anywhere to be a potential spreader.

Yes. Walking/cycling around Brooklyn, you’d hardly know there was still a pandemic. Regulations about indoor dining and drinking are widely ignored. Bars are full, at least in the hipster neighborhoods. Masks are optional. Nobody cares.
Not a good situation.
Even ten years ago, few would have felt justified in behaving as this person did.
Today, with 100% support from the media they listen to and read, thousands feel justified and righteous about behaving this way. And more and more are joining their ranks each day.
It’s not a positive development.
If there is any justice/karma in the Universe we are setting up for the collective Darwin Award to top all Darwin Awards.
It’ll be kinda like an inverse Rapture; in a comparative historical eyeblink (really 6 months) the selfish stupid half of humanity will disappear, leaving the sensible ones walking the Earth. Sadly the selfish stupid half will also take at least 10% of the other half with them.
Today at work I was treated to the sight of a face shield-wearing employee stuffing fistfuls of popcorn under the shield while strolling through my department. There was so much popcorn falling everywhere, and the bottom of the face shield was smeared in fake butter.
We can only hope but somehow they will rationalize their way around it. Ironically their refusal to be vaccinated means they will have to wear masks longer.
“have to”, or be asked/required to but ignore that and do what they please at great cost to the rest of us?

This is the most egregious example, but I keep running into these stories where a disagreement goes too far and the aggressor punches the victim who hits his head and ends up disabled or dead. Of course, alcohol is usually involved.
I’m thinking solitary confinement cells are wider than six feet, but not by much.
