Fucking maskholes and vaxholes

These maskholes lost their fight:

Oops, wrong thread.

Oh yeah. The anti-vaccers. I remember them. That’s the next big thing after a vaccine is found. Another example of the ‘fuck everyone else’ movement. We should get them and the maskholes in a stadium and let all of them tongue kiss each other.

“We’re gonna need a bigger spreadsheet…”

I get the feeling in another reality this lot would have assaulted employees who sought to enforce rules about smoking, or shoes, or blocking the disabled parking space. Basically the shut up and let me do whatever I want, minion, approach to life.

So cool.

Best laugh I’ve had all week. (Yeah, only Monday, but still …)

Someone should get ahold of Tony Stark and have him make a mask that rests on one ear and auto-deploys like the Iron Man suit.

Sharon Stone’s sister, who has lupus, has been diagnosed with covid. Stone is blaming people who don’t wear masks.

I went to a Walmart last weekend for the first time since Walmart itself started mandating masks (the towns around here had required them since March or April and there really haven’t been any problems).

They had a setup where they were using several of those steel barricades to block off the entrance area and they’d swing one open to let people in. 3 employees manning it. Not messing around, even though I believe Walmart said they weren’t going to ask employees to enforce their policy.

I did too, and the one near me had one entrance blocked. I wonder why that is. It seems like a more healthful approach would be to use one entrance for exit only and another for entrance only.

While people were all wearing masks, I still didn’t feel safe because there were so many people there it was impossible to social distance. There were often people in front and behind you so there was no way you could keep a safe distance for as long as would be practicable (i.e. pass them quickly without lingering)

I’m not going to go back there until I run out of Sugar Free Red Bull unless I can find more somewhere else.

It may be too hard to open an entrance for exit only without stationing more employees there to enforce that.

The Bank of America I use has been doing that.

'Course, banks tend to have armed security.

Here, protocols demand they strictly keep track of how many persons are in the store,( they each have a cap based on size). So one entrance/exit we see a lot now. One can understand how much easier it is to have an accurate handle on numbers, with only one opening!

In my area, stores are able to have a single entrance and separate exit. They do this by posting a sign that says “Exit only. Entrance located (arrow)” And people read the sign and go to the Entrance. No drama. I have never seen an asshole going the wrong way because “you can’t be the boss of me”. It’s their store, their rules. Don’t like it? Shop somewhere else. (and the “somewhere else” also has a single entrance and separate exit)

Why you’d need employees or armed guards to enforce a simple sign is baffling to me. I guess the asshole/normal ratio is much higher in some places.

Always?

Have you been following this thread? Most of it is about how people won’t wear masks, despite the business having a sign saying that they must wear masks.

I mean, that’s part of it: it’s irrational. Nobody is pissed because they have to wear shoes or keep their butthole covered; nobody argues that they don’t want to pay money for something. But people still, 8 months into a global pandemic, get themselves all fired up over not wanting to wear a mask, signs be damned.

Ohio’s soon-to-be-former-state-Rep. Candice Keller thinks she’s found her calling with this FFS.

I finally went to the orthopedist yesterday after several weeks of knee pain. It was the first time I’ve been in a public building since April. After checking in, I sat in a far corner of the room. A man with a broken arm and his mother came in after me. When they sat down, about 8 feet away, I noticed that their masks were below their noses. And they sat right next to the window where other people were checking in. Who then proceeded to sit on the other side of the room away from them. It was obvious they were only wearing the masks because they were forced to, so chances are good they aren’t being careful anywhere else. Fortunately, I only had to wait about 10 minutes before getting called back. Just got to hope they weren’t asymptomatic.

Yes I’ve been following the thread. I guess I’m just happy to be living in a place where people actually respect the fact that they live in a society with rules in place to help us get along… rather than a place with a substantial portion of the population that thinks rules (for them) are terrible things, and they want nothing to do with society, because that sounds like “socialism” and that is a bad thing because the man on the TeeVee told them it is bad.

I won’t hurry out to get an FDA-approved coronavirus vaccine. I have no confidence in a Trump FDA to actually provide an effective or safe vaccine. They are too eager, and have already rolled out testing that did not work because they wanted something. They are skipping steps or running the process in parallel that should be serial, in an effort to make it get approved sooner. Trump has gutted our government agencies, crippled them, and then leaves us hanging when we need them most. See EPA, Dept of Education, Post Office.

I’ll let others be the guinea pigs. Thank you for your service.
