Fucking pop-up ads that are half-off, half-on the screen

Yes, the fucking X to close windows is in the upper right. That doesn’t mean you should PURPOSELY fucking design pop-up ads to open with that X off the screen!

What the fuck has happened to America? Since the Internet, is POSITIVE association with a brand no longer desirable? Does it pale in comparison to widespread saturation? If this were the 1920s, would Ford be happy if half of America walked around mumbling “fucking Ford, I fucking hate them…”?

Who the fuck are the people who are waking up in the morning and being happy about making more of these ads? They must use the Internet too! Oh, God help me!

Such Malicious Pop-ups really get my goat. I generally avoid random surfing, so I don’t have to deal with them often, but I’ve developed the habit of not bothering to go for the X button entirely. Instead, I just right-click and select Close in the program bar at the bottom of the screen.

Note: I’m on a Windows system, so I don’t know how things are set up on a Mac. But I’m sure there’s an alternative way of closing a program.

Additionally, some pop-ups are even worse… they don’t have an X to press at all, and you can’t right-click on them in the program bar. Those ones, you need to CTRL-ALT-DEL to get rid of.

SPOOFE’s third rule: The longer a thread about pop-up ads gets, the more likely someone is to mention an anti-pop-up program.

How 'bout if I just point out that you should have scripting turned off anyhow, unless you absolutely need it? No scripting means no popups, ever.

Oh, and, umm… nazis or something.
