I hate this damn exam. Oh, I’ll do fine. But you know what? When it’s a take home exam and you are able to use notes, reading, books or whatever, I find the fucking things far more difficult than studying and sitting in a class for 2.5 hours to take it. Why? Because there are many possible answers to the questions. And I’m not sure how specific we’re supposed to be on some of these answers. I mean, is the desired answer tree or dog (not real possible answers). Just give me essays, not true/false or fill-in the blank. PLEASE!!!
I’m FRUSTRATED
Oh, and why do all the remaining things have to be due on one day? It’s not even the day that grades are due in the registrar’s office. Could the exam have been due during the actual fucking exam period? You’d get better quality on all the items, plus it’s less of a pile for you to have to deal with.
It also has essays. Those were easy though. It’s the other parts that are giving me fits (and with those parts worth 30 of the 100 points, I can’t just say “screw it” and put something there).
Take-home exams are wonderful. I do all my studying during the exam. Why bother studying in advance when you can just wait until you have the questions in front of you?
I’m getting one in another week or so for my anthro class. I don’t know what my format is yet, though…I shall see in a week from the morrow.
Although the annoying part is that I’ll have a whole week to do it- I usually would rather just do all the work and get it over with in an hour and a half.
We got this one last Tuesday, and it’s due this coming Tuesday (along with a gazillion other things for that class). But I finished it this afternoon, because with another final tomorrow night, I know that if I didn’t get it done I’d be doing it Tuesday from 2-4:30 and rushing to turn it in by 5PM.
Ugh. But now I’m home and I’m heading to sleep so I can get up at the butt crack of dawn and head back to campus.
I must admit, I am a bit confused. You aren’t sure how specific you should be for fill in the blank and true false questions? I would think that single word answers and true/false would suffice.
Hint: If pressed for time, you can just write T and F and you’ll probably get credit.
