Like most every last insulting fuckhead, nothing about Fukushima … or science … or anything of value really, in regards to factual things, concerns, it’s quite amazing how some people just close their minds when faced with anything to do with nuclear power
And as soon as it can be taxed, and make money for the wealthy, it will be used like crazy.
Hell, you make it like Germany so the utilities have to buy it at the rate they charge (or a penny under), solar would take off in the US like crazy.
The problem the propagandists face in this world of instant images, news and data, social networks and global communication, is how to stop the flow of information.
How do you keep a lid on things when people can simply post data online? or doctors and researchers can share instantly? How do you stop knowledge in today’s world? And how can you spin it?

It’s not some commie totalitarian nightmare of a country. It’s not some remote location. It’s the heartland of Japan. It’s a lot of real people and real children.
I feel sort of sorry for the deluded nuclear nutcases who think this was no big deal. They are so far in denial they are a joke.
I’m a huge fan of clean renewable energy, especially solar. this Fukushing disaster has actually pushed the cost of nuclear off the scale for Japan. You can’t even measure the cost that nuclear reactors has had on Japan anymore.
Solar is at this point far cheaper. For the cost of cleanup alone all of Japan could be solar powered, and it’s not even that sunny of a clime.
Add the cost of all the lost real estate, and damage from cancers and the loss of seafood, solar is probably so much cheaper than nuclear now, it’s a joke.

Since giving exposed children and adults iodine to prevent absorbing radio-iodine prevents cancer, this latest joke, in what will be a very long series of tragedies, just points out how deceiving the populations exposed to nuclear radiation is a fucking bad idea.
Seriously, it’s fucking criminal. they lied and deceived about the amounts, the kinds, and the time that people were being exposed to radiation from the goddamn reactors.

It seems typing out a bunch of idiot screed is fine, but don’t you go leaving out anything when you use a quote box. People might be confused.
In any case, whatever you do, don’t introduce any science or logic to a topic.

Back to the story that drives the nuclear moonbats just crazy. Children with cancer. Can you imagine anything worse for a nuclear cheerleader than a bunch of kids with cancer, caused by Fukushima?

Ok then. Of course there is CONFUSION about the cause. It could be just about anything that caused a tremendous jump like that. Just because they were exposed to a huge amount of radioactive iodine from three reactors that melted down and blew the fuck up, that doesn’t mean anything.
It’s fucking hilarious that the very same people who CARE so very much about the world, who are so AFRAID of global warming, at the same time deny there could be any danger, any harm, any real problem from the worst nuclear disaster in history. You can just see them, reading about the children with cancer, and all they can think is “it couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the radiation released from Fukushima”.
And at the very same time, they can’t grasp why they are viewed as a goddamn joke.

If you weren’t so obviously a troll I’d point out what a major tool you are…but it seems a bit redundant. Here’s the thing, moron…there is little doubt that the disaster at fukushima is going to cause some non-zero number of people to get cancer. Some non-zero number of them will die…and both of these non-zero numbers will be greater than the also non-zero number of folks who would otherwise have contracted cancer and died had the disaster never occurred. That is all absolutely true. But consider…even if your 59 young people here all did get cancer directly from Fukushima AND they all die from it, it’s a drop in the bucket compared to THE FUCKING DISASTER THAT CAUSED ALL OF THIS TO HAPPEN! 10’s of THOUSANDS were killed, and hundreds of thousands lost their homes due to the earth quakes and tsunami that caused all of this.

Because they are able to grasp something that is obviously beyond you…that being the ability to weigh and measure relative risk and make a decent risk assessment. Take your sensational story here from your (as usual) obscure source…59 young people MIGHT have contracted cancer from the Fukushima disaster. Let’s pretend for a moment that this actually is the case with all of them, and further, let’s pretend that this is merely the tip of the iceberg. Actually, it’s 2 orders of magnitude worse, and it’s really 5900 people who definitely, for sure have contracted cancer from the Fukushima diaster since it happened. Nuclear is really, REALLY dangerous, right? Wrong. Even with this exaggeration it doesn’t come close to the numbers of people adversely affected by the generation of electricity from coal. Even WITH Fukushima having happened (and ignoring that it took a truly epic disaster that caused 10’s of thousands of deaths and destruction on a massive scale to cause it to happen) the potential deaths from radiation from Fukushima is much, much less than what happens due to coal EVERY YEAR.
I know you won’t understand any of this (or, being the troll you are, you will understand it but ignore the meaning or ramifications), but there might be some lurker out there reading this and perhaps they will be able to grasp the implications.
