My fiance and I are planning to elope sometime next year. Mom always said that if we eloped, she’d foot the bill for a honeymoon to the destination of our choice. (Yay Mom!). So now we’re just trying to figure out where the heck we want to go. I’m hoping you fine folks can give me some ideas.
As fun as it might be, we know we don’t want to go to Vegas. We’d kindof like to have an adventure in someplace exotic, and my fiance would like to see wild animals, but we’d also like something relaxing and un-strenuous - not a lot of walking, anyway, as I have a bad hip (train tour of Europe is out, but short hikes in a Hawaiian jungle might be fine). We also haven’t decided yet if we’ll be getting hitched abroad, or doing the JOP dealie locally before we go (likely the latter since his mom would have a fit if she couldn’t participate somehow), but we’re keeping those options open for now.
So, does anyone have any suggestions and/or personal experiences they can share?
