Rosanna by Wax is funny because of all the innuendo. NSFW lyrics but the video is all innuendo
Leslie Nielson: “Nice beaver!”
Priscilla Presley: “Thanks, I just had it stuffed!”
:) “Rosanna by Wax” wasn’t what I was thinking of, but now I can’t stop thinking about it:D. The song definitely isn’t Safe For Work, or if you have kids in the house, or a wife nearby, or watching it at church, etc.
It is really funny!
(p.s. the Vimeo version is easier to watch, no age sign in)
I love this Joe Walsh video.
“Go With the Flow” by Queens of the Stone Age. I don’t really think it’s funny, but it’s so well made that it makes me laugh. Honestly, I can’t get over how cool this video is.
Sorry to rez an old thread (but hey, I posted to it when it was current).
I found this Austrian band called Kontrust. (The band is Austrian, but the hot blonde lead singer is Polish.) I … have no idea what genre to place this in, but this is one of the funniest videos I’ve ever seen outside of Weird Al. They just seem to be having so much fun:
Bowling for Soup’s Punk Rock 101 if you can keep up. ![]()
Not sure if Ylvis was mentioned. They have a bunch of funny videos: Stonehenge, What does the fox say?, … I believe the fox song went viral, and was even parodied (imitated?) in SNL.
I don’t know how to link to their channel page from my phone, so i will provide a link to one of their songs (Stonehenge) instead. Ylvis - Stonehenge [Official music video HD] [Explicit lyrics] - YouTube
Every Bowling For Soup video is hilarious! I love those guys!
And a live performance from Bowling for Soup, performing a cover version of Fergie’s “London Bridge”:
(sniff, sniff)
The first thread of mine to be resurrected as a zombie:D
I’m so proud:p
David Lee Roth used to do videos whose intent was clearly to convey humor. Don’t think he succeeded all that much but his videos struck me as Mad Magazine parody sort of videos, and were just incredibly 80s artifacts:
And while I was looking for the above video I came acrossthis very interesting cover of Hot For Teacher by Trisha Paytas, whom I have never heard of before.
Although the songs are not especially funny, three of the most popular videos of our time rely on humor pretty heavily:
Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” is all about her making fun of herself for being a dorky dancer, at the end finally finding some fellow dorky dancers to dance with.
Bruno Mars’s Uptown Funk has some really funny bits (especially in the beauty parlor).
Whatshername’s All About That Bass does some pretty fun stuff juxtaposing real girls playing with Barbie sets and real people dressed as Barbies, along with some other funny stuff.
Toby Keith has a few:
Aisha Tyler, No Ass At All. Can’t link youtube from work. Eventual link probably NSFW due to use and depiction of the a-word.
