"Weird Al" gives Pharrell the "Tacky" treatment

Video here.

I liked it. One of the better parodies I’ve heard from Al recently, though I’ve been a fan for 30 years. And I thought the video was very well-done, also, though I tuned out of the song when Aisha Tyler started grabbing her boobs. Kristen Schaal was as delightful as always (this board is - I think - the only place where I don’t have to justify my uneasy crush on Schaal), and Jack Black was Jack Black. Luckily, Jack Black works best in small doses.

Saw it. Loved it.

I didn’t realize that was Aisha Tyler, this video needs a couple of viewings, mostly because those outfits are awfully distracting.

That’s genius. Just… wow.

Really enjoyed it. Got the impression that everyone was just having a blast making the video.

The lyrics are vintage Weird All. Not genius, but playful and serviceable.

Wonderful! Great, even for Al’s excellent repertoire.

Eric Stonestreet actually ALMOST made that outfit look good.

That’s good stuff. I’m Happy ( ) for Weird Al that 30 whatever years on, he is still cooking, and is recognized for the clever-freak-genius that he is!

I like the video, but am not a huge fan of the song. I don’t know the original, but I didn’t with White and Nerdy and loved that song. Still, the video is fun.

Was it one shot?

Fun parody, brilliant visuals.

You had me at Aisha Tyler grabbing her own boobs.

The outfits made my retinas bleed.

I laughed out loud at the live tweeting at a funeral and taking selfies with the corpse line.

I re-watched Jack Black’s entrance about three times. If I ever go to a dance club again, I’m doing that strut!

It looks so fun:)

My favorite line was also when Jack Black came in, “43 bumper stickers and YOLO license plate.”

And now video #2: Word Crimes, a parody of Blurred Lines.

Absolutely great again. Very well done with the lyrics!

Al is great, no doubt.

Only three? I may adapt that into my normal entrance. That’ll come in handy at my divorce hearing later this month.

The video isn’t working for me :frowning:

Does anybody have a link a copy on YouTube or something?

For those who haven’t been watching the new season of Drunk History, Weird Al made a recent appearance portraying Adolf Hitler. Well worth catching (though no songs).

Al has not lost his touch at all. These are wonderful!

Al’s picture is near the definition of “accordion”

Brian

Man his songs never slow down. To me they are always clever start to finish!
