Fun with French (baseball)

Some friends and I are going to see the Indians play the Expos this weekend (we’re from Cleveland) and we want to make some signs to take with us, since we’re pretty sure we’ll be some of the few Indians fans there, and we want to get on TV

Anyway, none of us know French but we’d like to somehow say something in French that spells out FOX (that’s the tv station the game will be on - Fox Sports Net).

Any ideas? If someone suggests something great, we’ll say “Hi Opal!” on one of our signs

We’re also looking for somethign catchy to say in French, so i’m taking any suggestions. But that’s not as hard since we can use a translator…

Looking forward to your answers!!

Good luck finding a French word that starts with X that can actually be used in a meaningful phrase. I’m sitting here with my Petit Larousse Illustré, hardly the epitome of French dictionaries but the best I have to work with, and I see very little that isn’t hopelessly scientific or obscure.

As for the second part of your query, I’m not at all familiar with French (or Quebecois) sports slang and vocabulary, so I think I’ll leave that alone.

It doesn’t have to START with F or O or X. Just have it in there.

Like we came up with “F**k yOur eXpos” but we thought it wouldn’t help us get on TV…hehehe. Oh, and it’s in English.

Actually it’s good because X is used more often in French than English.

Faire bien,
Ou être un
eXpo

Translated optimistically, it means:

Do well,
or be an
eXpo.

Modern poetry if ever I saw any.
