Funniest scene ever , movie or TV

Most of mine have been mentioned.

The SNL Debbie Downer skit at Disney World.

Seinfeld: The Marine Biologist Titleist scene.

After that, no other herring would do it!

Many of my favorites were already mentioned, but I’ll add this one from The Big Bang Theory where Penny solves string theory. The delivery and reactions are perfect.

This thread has cheered me. thank you

The SNL Debbie Downer skit.

Some like Bluto:

I’ll leave a few heretofore overlooked scenes in this thread …

HOLLYWOOD SHUFFLE: “Yo man - that’s my activator!”

MALLRATS: Chocolate covered pretzels

CHASING AMY: “What’s a Nubian?”

And the #1 of them all. The one time I actually did fall out of my chair in a movie theater …

HI FIDELITY: “Shall we leave it at that?”
(1:41 is the payoff!)

This thread has had a severe lack of Danny Kaye. Allow me to rectify that:

He went to high school with my grandmother, BTW. He was a couple of years older, so they didn’t really hang out, but according to her “Everyone knew Danny Kaminsky. He was a real funny kid.”

I missed Danny Kaye by a generation or more, but have developed an appreciation for his genius. The Court Jester is one of my favorites, and the “pellet with the poison” scene is well known.

But I think an earlier tongue twister scene in the same film is even funnier:

What did the duke do?

Edit: How do you get the YouTube preview to appear in a post, rather than just a link as I’m doing???

You just copy and paste the link, as-is.

Don’t put the link in parentheses.

Good one. “Son, you got a panty on your head!”. Gets me every time.

The parking lot fight scene in The Big Lebowski is what hooked me on the movie. My husband asked what I was laughing about in the next room and I couldn’t describe to him why it was so funny. He had to see it for himself.

Thank you for that.

One of the small pleasures in my life is introducing TBL to people who haven’t seen it. Hard to believe there are people that haven’t, but it’s true.

First saw this on VHS and had to pause afterward to catch my breath.

Principal’s office scene from Porky’s.

Chandler and Jill Goodacre trapped in an ATM vestibule.
The chewing gum sequence cracks me up.

I remember Siskel and Ebert panning it, and I didn’t watch it immediately. When I did watch it, I loved it.

Gene Hackman. Peter Boyle.

I couldn’t find the full scene, but 'Allo 'Allo had a take on the vessel with the pestle…
