I present to you…
A McDonald’s-themed Black Sabbath tribute band.
Have you seen Beatallica? I believe I was first linked to them through a thread here on the dope. They are a mix ( a *hybrid *if you will…) of The Beatles, Metallica, and a healthy dose of H.P. Lovecraft. Here is The Thing That Should Not Let It Be:
I couldn’t watch an evening of that, but have watched Tragedy as much as possible - awesome! The number one heavy metal tribute to the Bee Gees and beyond.
You're welcome!MiM
I’d say it’s Mini Kiss, as seen on the Daily Show.
I newly pissed myself when Jason Jones asked them, a midget Kiss tribute band, “So what’s your gimmick?”
I’m wondering–and this is a serious question–are they the only midget Kiss tribute band? Because I saw one of these in Budapest, Hungary, in 2002. So I either saw them, or a knock-off. Or original. Or something. And they were frickin’ good.
There was a competing midget Kiss band in the Daily Show piece. It’s from a few years ago, so who knows how many there are now? One wonders what the market will bear.
I’ve seen Polka Floyd. All Pink Floyd covers done polka-style.
Heh. Luther Wright and the Wrongs recorded the entire album of The Wall bluegrass-style. It works surprisingly well, IMO.
Ha! I shot and edited this video. I have the whole set on my computer, including some funny in-between song banter. If I had any idea it was going to blow up as much as it has, I would’ve shot it on more than just my camera + a stationary GoPro.
I have that album. Before making it they actually did a demo and got Roger Water’s blessing on it.
I don’t know that they wouldn’t have gone forward without it, but it’s nice to know that he liked it (or at least approved of it). It would have sucked for them if he hated it and took legal measures to try to stop production of it.
Reggae covers of Led Zeppelin songs. And the lead singer is an Elvis impersonator.
Hayseed Dixie - the hits of AC/DC redone Hillbilly style.
Run C & W. Playing soul music the way god intended it…Bluegrass style!
I was thinking about mentioning them, but I knew someone else would.
As well as a bunch of other things.
Yeah Mac Sabbath… I realy like it …
Does Metalachi count?
I’ve seen them twice. The first time, in the spring of 1994, was probably the best concert I’ve ever attended.
