I also saw a car today whose numberplate was W33… The 3s were done like reverse Es (probably illegally) so it looked like ‘WEE’ something. I don’t remember the rest of it as it didn’t make sense to me at the time.

The interesting one for me was one time, in Times Square, a sedan whipped around the corner and narrowly missed me. The license plate was RIP GDG.

At work, someone has a hybrid car with the plates NDAHEMI. (Not a Hemi)
There’s a kit Cobra in these parts with the plates:

A few years ago, I saw a van with plates:

I want to get: ROCKLKR or RCKLIKR for rock licker (i’m a geologist) but I think the DMV might not allow it even though they both pass on the “is the plate available” feature)

About 20 years ago, I was on the PCH near Malibu and saw a sporty red BMW w/ “DAHLINQ”, I remember wondering if it might be Billy Crystal, but I was a couple of car lengths behind and never saw the drivers face.
I read, or heard about this one. On an expensive flashy car driven by a beautiful young woman: “4BNGD”. (for bein’ good). You wonder if her parents bought it for good behavior, or a sugar daddy for ‘bad’ behavior.

Years ago, I used to pass an old Honda every day. The “N” in “Honda” on the back had fallen off, or been pried off. The license plate read:
MYHODA
My all-time favorite, though, is the car I got stopped behind at a red light:
ML8-ML8
It was obviously intentional, and I puzzled over it for a while. Fortunately, we were at that red light, because I had time to notice that the car it was on was a White Rabbit. That tied it all together. (The car I saw had New Hampshire plates. I’ve since heard of others, for other states). A friend reported having seen a Black Rabbit with the license plate

I saw an old guy (probably in his 70s) in some manner of hot-stuff convertible with the plate ICAN2.
My favorite was the one that said CROOOW. (A MST3K reference.)
