We’ve done this before, I know.
Just this morning I saw a Smart Car with the license plate “CLWN CR.”

We have a 66 Hearse with Belfry on it, does that count?
There’s one I see around town a lot and I wonder how they slipped “RTFM NUB” past the DMV censors.
I swear I saw one that said “PAIDNCASH” but checking it now that’s over my state’s 7 character limit. But I know what I saw!
Obviously I’m as clueless as the DMV censors.
Can you explain for those of us who aren’t part of the in-crowd?
I loved the classic florida plate: A55 RGY
It had the state fruit displayed prominently between the 5 and the R
“Read the fucking manual, noob.”
I sawthis one a few years ago.
TITLEGAL (for those who don’t trust links.)
Depending upon where you put the space, I’m not sure if the woman driving does title searches, or had her breast augmentation done by a certified surgeon.
DeHusband’s tag is DAIZD and mine is CNFUZD.
Why yes, we are dazed and confused, in so many ways.
Somewhere in my hometown, there’s a Chrysler PT Cruiser, tricked out to an astounding degree. The plate says WANNABE. It has fender skirts, “lakes pipes,” and chrome edges on everything you could imagine. It has a big eyebrow-sunshade at the top of the windshield, and matching hoods over the headlights.
I saw one a couple of weeks ago that said
OMGMOVE
That. It’s a stereotypical snotty response in the IT world to questions that should be answered in the documentation and implies that the questioner is an unskilled beginner.
Can’t recall if I shared before or not but I saw a Mini Cooper once with ESC POD. I still love it.
Not lately, but an English professor at my college had GHOTI. I was extremely jealous (even though I didn’t have a car at the time, heh). I’d love to snag that one someday.
I have to wonder… they allegedly screen out assorted swearing, etc, when taking requests for customized plates. How many languages do they check? Could I request a plate that had, say, a Basque or Sorbian or Lojban* swearword, and expect that the request would be intercepted?
[sub]*I have no idea whether Lojban even has swearwords, but it’s the most obscure language I could think of…[/sub]
Bright orange Mustang GT. Plate?
“CHEETO”
heh. Shouldn’t that have been “an Ongloti professor?”
I saw one on my birthday that said HPY BDAY
In August, I was on my way to a Riders game at Taylor Field and saw an SUV with a vanity licence plate: “SK RDERS”.
Not unusual to see in Saskatchewan en route to a Riders game? Well, they were Ohio plates…
I keep seeing a new VW with the license plate DAS BUG.
