I just saw Se7en last night, and for some reason Kevin Spacey’s delivery of the line “I didn’t do that.” to Morgan Freeman’s comment about the dog busted me up.
Also, the other Jose Cheung special, from Millenium, wherein the line is delivered, “Oh, we don’t mention them by name. They sue.”
I don’t want to turn this into a Family Guy quote thread, but DoctorJ’s post reminded me of another Tom and Diane moment:
It was when Peter knocks the cable out, Tom and Diane think no one can see their broadcast and Diane says: “You know, Tom. I just plain don’t like black people.” That was a spit-take moment for me.
I’d forgotten about that one! That was so funny because it’s what would happen in “real life” if you saw an advertising logo chasing you. :eek:
Mike Meyers in “So I Married an Axe Murderer”.
He’s talking on the phone trying to get help when you see an axe come down and smash the phone. I expected him to yell “AHHHHHH!!” but instead he yells “WHAT THE FUCK!!”
It was Gollum from Lord of the Rings. Wonderful comparison, I thought.
Another good Shipwreck one:
Zartan is a shock journalist, trying to make GI Joe look bad. Shipwreck shows them the gigantic computer which can give Cobra whereabouts in .5 seconds.
Zartan: “Should this be used for something better, like solving world hunger?”
Shipwreck: “What do you do, feed the world a bunch of floppy disks?”
I actually remember this episode… It was the Baroness who was in disguise, not Zartan. I didn’t understand why for the longest time, even when I first saw it. I THINK it was because they wanted to show Zartan during that episode and mislead the viewer into thinking that the journalist was the real deal.
Ah, thank you. I thought he looked familiar, but I’ve only seen clips from the movie trailers. I’ve not actually seen any of the movies. God, I hope I don’t get flamed for saying it looked like a B movie! :eek:
