Futurama: 7-7

No one has made a thread yet (to my knowledge) so I want to be the first. I thought this episode was HILARIOUS. I laughed more in this one show than the other two combined!

Nice bust gentlemen!

You too!
I didn’t catch the writer of it…anyone know?

I thought this was one of the best they’ve done in a long time. Excellent parodies of Police Academy and Minority Report, a few good digs in at Avatar for good measure, and some truly excellent gags. (Put 3D Glasses A Minute Ago!)

Not enough Bender.

Didn’t we get enough (indeed, too much) of him in the previous episode?

No. It’s a show about Bender. Concentrating on those other characters is pointless. They are only there for contrast to show how great Bender is.

Little known fact.

Two of Benders cousins became lawyers specializing is Social Security Disability claims.

I thought it was a great episode, best one of the new season. I was about to gripe that I hadn’t heard that I needed 3D glasses, and then the delayed disclaimer came on!

My first thought: I bet they are gonna include 3D glasses in the DVD release.

I loved the Schroedinger’s cat gag.

Sadly, I have seen the “Executive” promotion thing in real life.

I loved that the “Executive Producers - Matt Groening, David X. Cohen” credit came up right as Farnsworth said that line.

It’s like they know!

I don’t know the answer, but I saw an interview with Al Gore’s daughter, Kristin, on the Craig Ferguson show and found out that she had been a writer for Futurama. After that, I fell in love with her a little. Also, it makes all of Al Gore’s appearances in Futurama that much funnier.

I keep waiting for Futurama to really do this joke because that law firm runs a lot of ads on Comedy Central, at least in the New York market. I’m not sure if the joke would work elsewhere. Anyway this was a very, very funny episode. The Schrodinger’s Cat sequence was the best part (“There’s also a lot of drugs in this box.”), but there were a lot of big and small laughs throughout. I remember really liking the Pandora sequence and the joke about the criminal robot.

Does anyone know if the scenes work with 3d glasses? Which type: red/blue or red/cyan ?

I meant to ask: where did Fry say he learned that motorcycle move? I couldn’t make that out.

Sunny-D Commercial

I thought that was what I heard. That one doesn’t work for me since I can’t think of a Sunny D commercial that was even a little bit like that.
