Follow up on the milage talk above.
So far, we’ve done a lot of in-town driving, one 100 mile round trip to Pueblo, and two close to back-to-back round trips to Denver of 160 miles each trip. For all those slightly longer trips, we did start with a full charge. Result, still almost 200 miles of all gas range remaining from the initial tank of gas 9 weeks ago.
We’re going to leave it unplugged until we get it sub-100 and then fill it up to about 1/3 and resume our near all EV style, with plans for a bi-weekly unplugged day or so. I guess this is one of those ‘downsides’ of having both options available, in that you have to be aware of both systems, but the effortless freedom in having range or efficiency on demand as it were is still intoxicating.
