FYI for those who use/care about Tapatalk after the crash

For those who use/care about Tapatalk, I wanted to share my experiences, post crash. The only function that seems to be working is the “Subforums” tab, which gives you each forum separately with threads in reverse chronological order, much like the regular forum listings here.

Also, it seems possible to create a “new topic” (equivalent of “post new thread”) when you’re in a specific forum

What doesn’t seem to be working:

(1) Can’t reply to posts or post in existing threads
(2) The “Timeline” (basically, “New Posts”) returns zero topics
(3) “Unread” returns zero topics
(4) “Subscribed” (equivalent of “New Subscribed Threads” on the User Control Panel) returns zero topics
(5) “Participated” (which I don’t think has an exact equivalent on the board) returns zero topics

Yes, that is pretty much my experience. Except that, while a tab allowed me to “create a new topic” in a forum (this one, by the way) once composed and “sent” I got the same “no permission” error message. So while the option appears, it isn’t really available.

Exactly the same happened when I tried to “report a post”. I was able to type out a long message about the problem, hoping a mod or admin might see it. But when I tried to send it, got the same “no permission” failure.

At the moment, Tapatalk seems only useful for reading the forums, using the Subforums tabs.

Update – all is returned to normal for me. Thank you, technical staff!

Excellent!
