Galactica: No. 6's cover identity?

Has it been revealed by what name Baltar knew No. 6 before she revealed herself to be a Cylon?

No. Baltar has never addressed her by name that I’ve noticed, or at all, really.

In one episode, though, she appeared to the entire crew of Galactica under the name “Shelley Godfrey”.

Did Baltar even know her name? He strikes me as the “Thanks for the wonderful evening; what was your name again?” type.

Spoilered since the UK viewers haven’t seen this one yet…

In the episode Pegasus, the version of Six who is being held and tortured on the Pegasus went by the name “Gina”. Dunno if Baltar knew her by that name or not.

In the pilot miniseries, Baltar was afraid of being tried for treason because he had given No. 6 full access to the Colonial defense systems. It seems to me that he would have had to had a pretty long-term relationship with her for her to be able to get all the information she needed. And various aspects of their interaction strongly implied that even if their relationship was casual, taht it had been going on for some time, certainly long enough for Baltar to have known her name. (When she found him in bed with another woman, Baltar began apologising for “screwing up,” which implies that he thought that she thought that they were in some kind of committed relationship.)

Really? I don’t remember that part, I’ll have to re-watch.

Interestingly, BSG season two was supposed to air in the UK in October, but they’ve decided to hold off until January, when season 2.1 starts in the US. But, the first ten eps of season 2.0 are going to be released on DVD December 20, so if people in the UK don’t feel like waiting to catch up with the US, they can get the DVDs.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the first half of a season release on DVD before the second half has even aired.

Ah. In fact, when NO. 6 points out the mysterious Cylon device mounted on the ceiling of the bridge, she says that they have been “having sex for the past two years.”

John Drake?

She’s not actually named as such in the episode, either onscreen or in dialogue, but the writers/producers gave her that name as an inside joke. Apparently some of the more obsessive fans of the original series (Lorne Greene etc.) are calling the remake “Galactica In Name Only,” or GINO, so Ron Moore named the new Six Gina to tweak their nads a bit.
