Game: Name That Car From The Vanity Plate

This is a little game I came up with a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. The idea is to come up with a vanity/personalized license plate that describes the car that might sport that plate.

The idea came to me in 1984 when I saw a car with the license plate “DOODEE”. I started laughing when I realized the car was an Audi (that is, Audi DOODEE = Howdy Doody).

I think around that time I read about a license plate that read “ML8 ML8”. The car was a white (Volkswagen) Rabbit.

The main limitation is that the vanity license plate cannot be any longer than 7 characters.

So, with that in mind, here are a couple of samples. I apologize in advance for using car makes/models that are somewhat dated.

Kia FORTE (the model name means “loudly” in Italian)

There actually was a car called a Plymouth Scamp, which I remember because of a commercial which ripped off The Lady is a Tramp and had a woman singing “That’s why this lady drives a Scamp.” There was also a Rambler model called the ROGUE, which is sort of a synonym of SCAMP.
