So my boyfriend is currently reading AGoT and is at the part where Eddard confronts Cersei, after Robert’s been gored by the boar. She says something about how Robert would come to bed drunk and she would find “other ways” to satisfy him that didn’t include actually having his dick in her vagina.
I’ve always interpreted this as her giving him a handjob or a blowjob. My boyfriend insists that it actually means Cersei had anal sex with him (or “took it up the shitter,” as he so delicately put it - he’s Irish). His argument was that if Robert was sober enough to have an erection, there’s no way he’d be satisfied with a handjob and wake up the next morning thinking that they’d had sex. Also he thought Cersei was more concerned about carrying Robert’s child than him actually being inside her literally. Anal sex would carry no danger of children.
My argument was that if Cersei doesn’t want him in her vagina, there’s no way she’d let him near her ass.
