Game of Thrones S3 - open spoilers

Well, except that they have one more episode after the wedding.

Remember, it’s “Jaime.”

The troll part of me wants the episode to end with Arya getting bonked on the head, fade to black. It’d be the cherry on top of the internet meltdown that will occur in about 8 days from right now. Actually, the more horrifying ending would be Arya’s head thunk, cut to dead naked Cat in the river, cut to Wolfhead!Robb, fade to black, Rains of Castamere over the credits.

She can show back up next week and get Needle. Theon can wait till next week, as can Bran, Jon, the castle they almost meet at.

Sheesh, I don’t remember that. “Congrats on the wedding, here’s your hole in the ground, try to have some sex before we fill it in with dirt.”

Terrible custom.

The prevailing theory/rumor is that Episode 10 will open with a shot of Rob-Wind.

After the credits, cut to Grey Wind’s head, then the camera sloooooooly pans out and it’s revealed to be his head on Robb’s body.

This would work especially well if they don’t show Grey Wind dying in ep.9 and it gives the Summer Children hope that a vengeful Grey Wind gets revenge.

Just got my new shirt today. (the blue is significantly lighter than shown, somewhat disappointed in that)

I… don’t get it.

The Red Wedding. That’s the twins, the band has bows.

Nice.

I also like this one, from the same site:

For those that don’t get this one either:

In Dance, it’s theorized that the three, giant, meat pies that Lord Manderly brings contain the remains of the three Freys that were originally with him. The evidence is
[list]
[li]Three pies = three Freys [/li][li]the Freys disappeared after they left White Harbor and were no longer safe under Guest Rights (because the Manderly’s are NOT going to pull a Frey and kill those they promised not to harm.)[/li][li]Lord Manderly insists the bards at Ramsay’s wedding sing The Rat King, a song about someone cutting people up and serving them as food.[/li]

I have a friend who’s just getting caught up on S2, but said she wants to take a break before she starts S3 so she doesn’t get sick of it. She was complaining how she got spoiled for some minor things (sounds major to her, but being a bookwalker, I know those things are so minor to the BIG things). I keep trying to suggest to her that she needs to catch up or avoid the internet entirely. I know she’s going to get spoiled, but I can’t be like “Dude, it’s going to be crazy this week!” because that itself is a spoiler.

I love that Band shirt and Frey Pie shirt. I have an “I’m with the band” image saved along with a bunch of other darkly funny memes and gifs saved up for one of my other forums for next week. Storing them like acorns. I’ve read it twice and will be seeing it in just a few days, so I’m going to try to laugh my way through the horror instead of crying.

Fair Rarity, your user-name looks familiar…do you post on SA?

I’ve read most of the books–except for the last doorstop. Therefore, I’m spoiled for a couple of seasons to come.

However, even though I knew Ned was going to die, I didn’t find his beheading hilarious. And I’m not looking forward to the next bloodbath with a smile on my face…

:: shrugs ::

Folks have different coping mechanisms.

I don’t think people are laughing about the red wedding. “Hahaha, that lady went insane with grief. Hilarious!” We’re just anticipating having schadenfreude at the watchers.

“Schadenfreude” is pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others. It doesn’t apply here.

Maybe the misfortune is ours. We know what’s going to happen, so the impact won’t be as powerful.

True, but we get to witness the no doubt epic outrage of the Unsullied afterwards.

Yes, the only good thing about having them with their little “special” thread is watching what happens when a bomb goes off like this.

Oh, and watching some poster who is obviously in the know post “speculations”. :dubious::stuck_out_tongue:

Would it be too much of a dick move to quote Ellis Dee’s posts from last season about nobody actually dying after this weeks episode?

He’ll just minimize it.

Yeah. Good point. I was thinking they might monkey with the timing a bit to do that, but it does really require them to arrive right after the shit hits the fan - otherwise there’s no reason for him to clobber her for her own good.

I wonder what the final scene of the season *will *be? Dany triumphant in Yunkai, with the freed slaves chanting “Mhysa?” Seems too cheerful for this show. Maybe they’ll show that, but then end with the reveal of Lady Stoneheart (who is a mother above all else after all)?

BTW, I’m re-reading GoT, and Catelyn just had the thought that her heart felt like it turned to stone. I was like, heh, see what you did there, Railroad!
