Duurrrr. Clearly time to read the books again.
Meanwhile, Game of Thrones themed wedding ends in massive bloodshed.

Best thing ever.
Okay so maybe the other thread wasn’t as agonized as expected over the Red Wedding. But maybe if they stay unspoiled for another year they will get the intense pleasure of having this expectation sundered:
I am pretty sure that Meatros is not unsullied.
I wonder if they will finally begin the Lyanna + Rhagaer=almost certainly not rape and possibly Jon Snow’s real parents teaser. The Reeds did tell Bran about the whole Tourny at Harrenahal business in the books.
It would also give them a chance to have a cameo with Sean Bean, they did one with the actor who played Drogo last season.
Many of them more that they pretend they do. Perhaps simply by reading wiki or something, true.
This was not a big surprise to that many.
It’s not even teased that straightforwardly in the books (so far). How could they do it in the show?
One viewer’s cruelty is another viewer’s unbearably powerful dramatic twist.
I wonder why Mr. Filch, er, Lord Frey “wasted” his most beautiful daughter on Edmure? Since he knew the Red Wedding was coming, the old cutthroat could have foisted off some slattern on him and still had a sweet young thing to marry off to a Lannister down the road.
That said, I liked Frey’s eyebrow waggle at Robb when the bride’s veil was removed: “See what you’re missing, eh, kid?”
Ser Barristan outright states it in the latest book.
Now the show can avoid it if it’s just a tease (in which case I am going to personally gibbet GRRM), but if it is substantive than that, they need to bring it up much sooner. Otherwise, for the unsullied it will be an even bigger WTF than the Red wedding business. This time, they will have a point.
She might not have been the most beautiful. It was probably just her turn to be first in the bathtub that day.
None of those girls were ugly. The gingers were kinda scary looking, but the others just needed a good shampoo, some conditioner, and a dress that didn’t come from Sackcloth & Sashes.
You are right they were not ugly. They ranged from the plain to the downright hideous. Well done to the casting agency and the costume and make up dudes.
It was just a little bit of extra “fuck you” to Robb. “You didn’t think my daughters are good enough, well look at her. Your dumb uncle gets her and you get dead.”
The band does sound kinda awful. And Talisa says so to Robb (“They are bad”, or something like it).
I don’t remember her saying that.
Although Beric seems to be the agent that brings Cat back, I don’t think either he or Thoros of Myr really understand what kind of magic they’re using. They just ‘say the words’ and stuff happens. Thoros isn’t even all that devout. Cat’s resurrection also seems very different from Beric Dondarrion’s resurrection. Her entire personality seems to have changed somewhat (the way she treats Brienne for example…). Her description seems more inline with a wight.
So who knows what kind of magic is really behind it all. I feel that it’s likely Jon will return in a slightly similar manner (I suspect by warging into Ghost, then back into his own dead body - which is also why I think Benjen Stark = Coldhands) - and they both seem to have more to do with the ‘ice’ side of the story. Hmm.
The second post in this thread said anything from any of the books is fair game. But where would be the most appropriate place to discuss general asoiaf theories? If I wanted to do that should I make a new thread?

Her mind broke about two minutes before she was killed. She was Lady Stoneheart before she hit the floor of the wedding hall.
Oooh. I’ll have a read.
That’s an interesting thought. I still think her resurrection helped change her personality though. It’s almost like they were only able to bring back the vengeful side of her that we saw in those last minutes, with no discernible trace of who she once was.
One of my Unsullied coworkers was telling me yesterday that she thinks Jon Snow is going to be the savior. Another coworker who has read all the books was standing outside my office laughing at her behind her back. I had a really hard time keeping a straight face.
Well, this episode was harder to watch than I expected, hehe. Which is silly, cause I’ve read the books a couple of times.
I am really happy about the tower scene with Hodor et. all, as for some reason that scene really stuck in my mind in the books, and it is EXACTLY as I pictured it.
