Game of Thrones/Westworld Crossover - would it be any good?

Now that Season 1 of Westworld is being dissected, while going around and reading different things…I stumbled across a story about George RR Martin pitching a Game Of Thrones Westworld crossover. (The link button isn’t working. Sorry)

In Westworld’s finale, we did get a glimpse of another possible park (Samuri World?)

Does this sound like something that could be amazing or dumb.

If the GOT characters were like Hosts, who wouldn’t want to get shit faced with Tyrion or smack around Joffrey?

Thoughts?

(Excuse me while I spend some time with the Roz host)

In the original movie, they end up in medieval world after crashing a party in Roman world.

This isn’t a terrible idea. OTOH, you could make a crossover series by almost any two programs if you’re willing to make one or both sets of cast members into robot play toys.

I’m sure that the fans who have been crying for their favorite characters for several years wouldn’t mind a bit having it revealed that the whole thing was just a fancy theme park, being fucked with by tourists, the whole time.

It would make more sense if Joffrey (and possibly Tyrion) was a guest, not a host.

Perhaps that’s the way you play it; you take the role of one of the principal characters from the book/TV series.

That could work too.

I like the idea mostly because George RR Martin was (maybe still is) pitching ideas for it.

Martin should be focused on writing more GOT books, not thinking up harebrained crossover ideas. Grrr.

I’d love it as an easter egg in WestWorld… they are dashing through a hallway, open up a room, dash through what is very clearly the throne room in King’s Landing, and then on with the WestWorld plot or something. Or they dash through a cold storage area and there are all the dead GoT characters. Trying to make an actual crossover seems far more likely to screw up one or both series.

Yeah, that could be cool. It could always be fanwanked as Delos providing an immersive environment for fans of the long-ago HBO show (since Westworld could easily be in a universe that includes a fictional Westeros in its pop culture).

How do you think that Bill Paxton, got his role on Big Love?

“A man’s gotta have a code.”

I think you would make a pretty good host too there Omar. You should keep practicing your whistling of “A-Hunting We Will Go”
*just using the quote to identify the poster

Personally, I’m waiting for “It’s Always Sunny in Westworld”.
