Just happened to have CBS on when this came on. Apparently they’re going to run through 7 classic game shows with celebrity contestants, and viewers can win the prizes the celebrities earn.
Tonight was “The Price is Right.” Ricki Lake is NOT Bob Barker, I will tell you that. I was amazed that they let them move the Big Wheel and Plinko out of the Bob Barker Studio.
Upcoming games: Beat the Clock, Match Game, Let’s Make a Deal, Family Feud, Card Sharks(!) and PRESS YOUR LUCK (my personal favorite.)
That '66 Mustang made that one really hard to figure. Depending on how much work it’s had done and who did the appraisal, it could have gone for almost $81,000 by itself.
The “scenes from the next episode” indicate that, yes, the celebs will be dressed up. We saw:
Tim Meadows as a (Village People) Cop.
Lance Bass as a Banana (it’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time!)
I wasn’t paying too much attention for the rest, but I think Leslie Nielson was a cowboy, Paige Davis was some sort of baby doll.
There’s a video on CBS.com showing the moving of the Big Wheel and the Plinko board.
I think they’ll dress them up for Let’s Make a Deal.
What I’m really curious about is whether or not they’re going to use the real Press Your Luck board. I’d be surprised to learn they still have it in storage.
You can be entered in a drawing to win the prizes the celebs win by text-messaging the correct answer to a trivia question (at .99 a pop!) and the charities get… I’m not sure.
Holy cow! That girl that won last night… the blonde… don’t know her name or what show she’s been in… but…
gives new meaning to the term “dumber than a box of rocks”.
I watch Bob Barker, I love Bob Barker, I know Bob Barker…
Rikki Lake, you are no Bob Barker.
