Game Show Nostalgia - Video Village anyone?

For some reason, and no I haven’t been watching GSN lately, I was thinking about the game show Video Village lately. Maybe because I was reminiscing about childhood, as it was a minor obsession with a group of us as kids. LOL We used to create life-size Video Village “game boards” in our back yards and try to play the game ourselves. There was a kids version of the show. It had this huge dice cage that people turned upside to get their dice roll. On the kid’s version, when they got to the end, the kids “fished” off a stone bridge for their prizes. Anyone else remember this game show? Time period was early 60s.

Haven’t watched GSN in a while, but on Sunday nights, they used to run a bunch of 50s game shows (What’s My Line, I’ve Got a Secret); the sponsors were the cigarette companies and they gave away cartons and cartons of cigarettes as consolation prizes. Can you imagine?! LOL It’s a real snap shot of the 50s though to watch those shows.
