Garnier "garbage"

I just tried a bottle of Garnier Hair Spray for the first time , and I must say this crap is no different than massaging Silicone Tub Caulk into your hair !!

The next morning I tried to brush/comb my hair and it felt like I had dipped my head into a vat of Elmer`s Wood Glue . It took over a half hour to wash this junk out of my hair , and it still feels and looks like clumps of rubber imbedded in my scalp …

I tried to get onto Garniers site to complain , but their site doesnt work , other than the ones advertising their "fantastic "products .

Anyone else have any bad experiences with Garnier crap ?

It seems to me than anything and everything coming out of Quebec is total SHlT !!

Since the OP is looking for personal experiences, let’s move this to IMHO.

Moving thread from General Questions to In My Humble Opinion.

I actually rather like their Fructis stuff. Back when I used shampoo and conditioner, that was my default. Sleek & Shine is a decent leave-in conditioner.

I don’t use hair spray / gel / mousse often so I can’t really comment on those.

It’s funny, but OP’s comparison to silicone actually reminds me of one of the best hair products out there: silicone lube. Just a little dab brushed through will leave it smooth and shiny without the greasiness that mineral oil leaves.

What specific Garnier hair spray did you use, because it sounds like you either used too much or the wrong product for whatever you were trying to accomplish. It wont be “just” hair spray. Garnier products, as well as most large brand cosmetics diversify their products by desired outcome to increase profitability.

I found Fructis doesn’t work for me. I have baby fine hair, and a lot of it. Fructis just clumps it then goes limp. Stuff from the Dollar Store works better.
