What better time than the writer’s strike to check out one of the best shows ever made? For those of you without Cartoon Network (though it’s not animated), check it out online. It’s Dean Koontz meets Dr. Who meets Doc (the medical show starring Billy Ray Cyrus), and it is bloody brilliant. Remember the uber annoying IT guy from The Office (UK)? He stars.
I caught this a couple of weeks ago as I was dozing off. Luckily, I set it to tape, because in the morning, I figured I must have just been dreaming about this hilariously bizarre show.
Nope, it’s real, and it’s just that damn funny. I’m just sorry that there were so few episodes made!
I LOVED Darkplace. I keep hoping they’ll do more episodes- apparently, it’s getting a large cult following.
I have only seen the “eyeball” episode and thought it was friggin brilliant. Apparently it was not a hit upon release and there are only six episodes?
Unfortunately, I have friends who think this kind of television is good quality drama. It’s hard to laugh at the joke when it just makes me sad.
