Up to $3.39 in Kalamazoo.
I’m out visiting my folks in CO, and it seems to be around $2.79 for cheap stuff, and up to three and change.
I didn’t ask my husband when I called him what it’s like in LA. I don’t wanna know.
I paid the lowest I have done in days. 89.9p/litre. Convert at will.
Near downtown Chicago today I saw $3.49 for regular.
My wife just got home from long lines (filled with fucking idiots) and she paid $2.999.
Oh, man. I just bought a truck with a 35-gallon tank. I’m screwed. And I can’t throw 87 in it because the manual recommends 89.
So should I have filled up on my way to work this morning? Are prices likely to have gone up significantly today between 6 AM and 10 PM? Cuz it already costs me over $100 at this morning’s prices.
Jebus. I’m in Atlantic Canada. Gas increased to $1.29 CAD a litre. Converts to $4.08 US a gallon. Glad we filled up when it was “only” $1.13 (it jumped twice today - $1.19 then $1.29.)
I filled up today at 2.759. I expect it’ll be much higher this weekend – there’s a persistant rumor going around Atlanta that Katrina damaged fuel lines supplying the region and they don’t know when they’ll be repaired…
$2.779/gal. to fill up yesterday (Los Angeles, the Valley, just about as cheap as it gets in these parts)
I filled on Monday at $2.45. That same station today leapt to $2.79. I hate to imagine what it’ll be next week…
Oh, yeah, that’s the price in Dahlgren, VA. It’s higher in most places here in Maryland.
$2.46 on Monday in Central Illinois. I saw it was $2.67 or so yesterday. From gasbuddy.com, looks like it’s anywhere from about there to $2.99.
Filled up last night at $2.75 a gallon. Gas prices are ranging anywhere from that to just under $3.00 a gallon. I just saw a news report about an independent gas station north of Seattle that is charging $3.39 a gallon.
I filled up on Monday for $2.51, but figured I should top off today, due to the disaster in New Orleans possibly causing a gas shortage. I passed the same station on my way to work this morning, and it was still $2.51. Good stuff, right? Wrong. By the time I went back in the afternoon to fill up, it had jumped to $2.79. And that is now the cheapest station I pass on my way home.
$2.79 in Albany. But they’re saying it’s going to be $3.00 before the week’s out, and $4.00 before next week.
All these people overseas who keep saying it’s no big deal, you know our paychecks haven’t increased yet, right? Some of us are living on a not-for-profit salary, driving a Toyota Corolla, and if the prices keep going up it’s going to make a big dent in our income. I know you think we should suck it up, but damn, it’s hard.
I paid $2.81 this morning.
I fully expect it to break $3 by next week.
I went to fill this afternoon and paid $2.69 for regular in a Nashville suburb. The news just showed places around town going as high as $3.19 for regular.
Rumors in Knoxville say Pilot gas will be up to $5.oo tomorrow, but I don’t know if I believe it.
It damn well figures that I’m driving all the way to K-town this weekend to catch the Vols season opener when gas prices are absolutely spiking. Vunderbar.
I saw it coming… I filled up here in Lexington Kentucky yesterday at 2.41 for regular. Today it’s 2.99. I’m scanning bus schedules.
We just waited in line for 25 minutes to pay $2.61. That was the lowest price in town. But on the way home, we saw it increase as far as $3.19.
A gas station in my neck of the woods had a price jump of 10 cents in about two hours.
And what’s going on in Atlanta? I saw prices of $5.87 a gallon!!! What the hell?
