Gas Prices are Coming Down!

Maybe you all haven’t heard yet. King Abdullah has ordered gasoline prices down from 0.9 SR per liter to 0.6 SR. That is something like $0.60 per gallon.

I suspect the man is up for reelection. But who cares why?

I am sure you all share my joy at this development. :stuck_out_tongue:

[Watt] “Fong him!” [/Watt]

May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your nether regions!

-silenus, who just paid $3.23/gal to fill his pickup.

Can I buy some off of you? I’ll pay, like, double.

Oh man, can you give me a little tank? Just one little tank man, I swear it will be my last, I just need one more to ease the pain…

Maybe I’m confused, but doesn’t this mean also the price they sell to the US is going to go down as well? Or am I confused?

Yup. You’re confused.

The price paid for gasoline inside SA has no impact on the price of crude oil on the spot market. Gasoline in Venezuala is $.14/gallon.

The King is up for reelection? Guess maybe Mel Brooks was wrong.

That was obviously sarcasm. But the reality is that the King does not operate the Kingdom in a vacuum. When His Loyal Subjects are unhappy they are prone to unrest. In fact some of His Loyal Subjects have been know to blow stuff up real good. And some of His Princes have been know to die mysteriously when implicated in the aftermath. Radical Wahabbanism was born in KSA.
