Miller! You know better. Do I have to make a report to The Agenda about this indiscretion? Do Guido and Bruce need to show up and make fun of your decor like last time? When The Committee meets next time, be sure your name will come up during brunch. You have been warned.
And of course Fred Phelps is celebrating Katrina as God’s vengeance on…
Naw, I’m not about to repeat any of the sickening language on his sickening site, nor link to it. I wish I’d just taken his response for granted rather than checking.
Phelps is at it again as well. In case the moderators care, his web site does explicitly say “You may use any of our material free of charge for any reason.”, so I don’t think there’s any problem with quoting large gobs of his filth (other than maybe nauseating the audience ).
Well, you can’t say that He didn’t give you fair warning: just look at what He did to Sodom and Gomorrah. {Just what did they get up to in Gomorrah anyway?} Nobody look back, that’s all I’m saying.

If you click on the link, the “repent America” people quote the Bible:
“[God] sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” (Matthew 5:45)
However, if you read the actual Bible (something that a lot of “Christians” don’t seem to do) you don’t see just that line, but that line in context:
<i>"You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
But I tell you: <b>Love your enemies</b> and <b>pray for those who persecute you,</b>
that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?
And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.*
Matthew 5:43-48
Interesting how the war over homosexuality seems to be fought by only one side. Interesting how you never hear gay-rights groups claiming that God sent some kind of tragedy to punish Christians.
Just in the interest of objective analysis though, does anyone know of any Christian conferences or events of any kind planned for New Orleans in the near future? If so, then someone’s got some ‘splainin’ to do.
I guess this is why a good Christian city like Las Vegas has been spared so many natural disasters. It’s a lovely “Norman Rockwell” kind of town of good God-Fearing folk who shun the wages of sin and the sins of flesh. The rest of America should take heed and follow the shining, stellar example that this town has set.
I can understand, if his press kit is true, why God doesn’t like homos and drug users and other “pirates, drunks and whores” New Orleans is famous for, but has He ever said why he hates poor people so much? They’re the ones he also hits whenever he goes after the queers.
