Actually, I like the Yo! Yao! spot, especially the end. Yo! Gi! Yogi! It’s nicely goofy, and it makes fun of the folks who say, “Yo!” as if they’re telling you something. It’s always nice to see Berra working.
I love it to.
Whenever someone is rambling about something I don’t understand I throw in a subtle “Canniwriteacheck?”
“It’s not a gecko, it’s geico.”
 :dubious:
Checkers: You gotta eat!
No effin’ way! You mean I have to eat? I guess you learn something new every day.
Three words:
“Image…is EVERYTHING.”
I’m tellin’ ya, if Andre Agassi didn’t just win his 8th Grand Slam title, that stupid catchphrase would haunt him to his friggin’ grave.
You forget the man who claims to be like Magellan, he’s so gellin’.
There is a local radio ad for a restaurant whose slogan is: “Y’all get in here and eat!”
I don’t like their attitude
I like that Scholl’s commercial. I have no idea why, but it makes me laugh. I also like the Yo/Yao commercial. I absolutely can’t stand the “You gotta eat” commercial, though.
I hate every TV commercial slogan.
But the ones that drive me batshit are :
Zoom Zoom - I just want to slug that kid.
Can You Hear Me Now? Grrrr…
Hmm… that’s all I can think of. I’m shocked, as it seems that I’m constantly hollering at the TV. I’ll have to pay more attention…
hrh
I never liked the “Avis. We try harder.” ads, because they never say who they try harder than. (Hertz? Bob’s Car Rental? Slacker Jim’s Rental?)
hrhomer: You’ll let me have a crack at the “Zoom, Zoom” kid, won’t’cha? Please?
Oh, & I hate that little kid who used to do Optimum Online commercials - “I’m what you call a media mogul”, says he. No, kid, you’re what we call an overly cute kid with a nauseating line to read.
That “Dude, you’re gettin’ a Dell!” kid used to piss me off on a daily basis…Now I have to put up with those “Wacky But Cute Dell Interns”:smack:
I don’t mind this kid ass much as everyone does, I also don’t mind the slogan, but it has to be mentioned:
“Dude, You’re gett’n a Dell!”
– SWEET!!!
jinx?
I must be the biggest nerd on the planet, cause I love the gellin’ commercial. It makes me laugh every time.
Thanks for the play-by-play, mobo85.
Re: The “Zoom Zoom” kid, there’s someone at my school with a Mazda 626 with a vanity plate “ZOOMX2”. I’ve often contemplated waiting next to it just to find out who it is I’m supposed to shun.
I like this commercial too. I also like the other commercial for the powerbooks. I think they are both amusing.
I kind of like the Gellin… commercial too.
[sub]There, I’ve said it, I’m addicted to silly commercials[/sub]
It’s painful what they pay/force kids to say:
“Sunny D!!! or Purple Stuff?”
“We eat what we like. (giggle)”
“Gotta have my Pops.” (“It’s like methadone for my Honeycomb habit!”)
‘It’s the cheesiest’ has now been replaced in Kraft’s Hall of Shame by 'Maxaroni!!!"
Subaru: “When you get it, you get it!”
No shit, really??? Most meaningless slogan ever.
Well, there’s always Sprite’s (7-up?) campaign: “Image is nothing. Thirst is everything.”
Told to us by increasingly famous sports stars, etc.
Ugh.
