In Ireland you can also change “bog” to “jacks”.
And you used to be told to ‘bog off’ though I haven’t heard that in a while. Quite why someone should think that ‘toilet off’ [sub] or, for the more sensitive, ‘water-closet off’[/sub] would be a more stinging rebuke than the ubiquitous fuck off is beyond me.
Then there’s bog standard. A whole 'nuther ballgame.
Only ever heard girlies use it around here. Kind of a polite way to almost swear.
Apart from telly (and not so much even there, these days) I haven’t heard too many swearing girlies who feel even the slightest need to back off. That said, I don’t mix with too many youngsters socially, but my teacher-wife can certainly attest to it. She used to think her vocabulary was broad. It wasn’t.
After you get the British meaning of “bog” firmly encased in your brain, please try to make a trip down here to South Carolina. In our part of the world, bog is a chicken and rice dish. We have a big festival every year celebrating this culinary creation.
You should have seen the eye bugging and guffaws when my (Australian) husband’s (Australian) friends came to visit right before the festival…we drove past a HUGE billboard inviting everyone to the Great Loris Bog-Off!!!
Yup, toilet paper. The only other reference to keeping a bog roll in the fridge I’ve ever heard came from Jasper Carrot’s standup act rlating to a curry restaurant that kindly stored theirs in the refrigerator.

Well, I knew “bog” was a Britishism for “toilet”, but I couldn’t imagine why you’d want to put the TP in the fridge. Thank you, Steve Wright.
