Generous Trump pledges one million dollars to aid Houston after Harvey.

Well, it follows that, in order to not show favoritism, he would do the same for Florida and Puerto Rico.

But, I have not heard about anymore pledges from the generous Trump.

Did I miss something?

I’m sure Florida and Puerto Rico will get exactly as much of Trump’s money as Texas does.

For those who hadn’t heard about this (like me), Trump personally donated $1,000,000 of his fortune to charities in the Houston area.

That article is nearly a month old and says those charities will receive the specified amounts. Has any of those charities actually received money from him?

I think that checking to ensure charities received their promised money is very valid. Having said that, if someone gives a million to a good cause, I am not going to begrudge them not giving 3 million, even if I despise that person.

Exactly.

He didn’t say when.

And even if the day comes, I think the odds are pretty much zero that the money would actually come from Donald Trump. Maybe his foundation, which is funded by donors trying to buy favors. Or, more likely, from his excess inaugural donations- which he has promised to give to charity. Someday.

The day “came” a month ago and the odds that the money came from Trump are100%. As in “a personal check from the president”. You could have easily checked that before posting. But no, Trump hatred is more important.

Not more important. Just more realistic.

From your own cite:

And yet he fulfilled his $1M pledge to Harvey charities. In spite of Ann Hedonia’s conviction that the chances are “pretty much zero” that he would. But the bizarre thing is that Ann Hedonia could have easily checked it before posting. Hating Trump though is probably a full time job, not leaving any time for frivolities like fact checking.

Considering the other pledges he broke it sounds to me like he’s up $5 million on the deal and getting kudos from the faithful for being so generous. It’s pretty easy to give away free money.

That is about a half a day’s income for Trump. Which, from my social security, would correspond to about 20 bucks.

To be fair, that’s Trump’s fault.
