In another thread, a poster asserted that “X279-AH2$3-BB@” is a genetic marker for Han Chinese. I’m a bit skeptical of this claim . . . does anyone know if it’s true or not?

The answer was an obvious whoosh (the fact it was posted in the Pit should have been a giveaway).
If you want some genetic markers that distinguish Han Chinese from others, check the wikipedia article on the Han Chinese. Basic research is pretty easy to do.
Of course, you should dig into the cited articles and whatnot, but it’s not a stretch to accept that Han Chinese share some common genetic markers.
ETA: the first response you got in this thread should also have made it clear that it wasn’t an entirely serious response. I guess a sense of humor isn’t universal.
