Took my kids to the pediatrician today. It ws time for the baby’s four-month checkup, and my daughter’s yearly checkup (she’ll be three in a couple of weeks).
My daughter is petite. She’s 35 inches tall, and weighs 28 pounds. She is taking after the rest of the women in my family–we’re all short. I’m 5’1". If my daughter clears my height, she’ll be lucky.
The baby, on the other hand, is taking after his dad’s side of the family. He’s four months old, and as of this afternoon, he was 26 1/2 inches long, and weighed 16 pounds 10 ounces (I say “as of this afternoon” because he’s growing so freaking fast those stats have probably already changed). The boy is going to be bigger than the girl in a few months, I think. The men in my husband’s family are tall & big. Not incredibly tall, but taller than on my side (the men in my family aren’t really tall, either).
It’s going to be interesting when my kids get into their first fight. My daughter is going to be her usual lippy little self, and my son will probably just knock her down. Sigh. Hopefully it won’t happen too often.
Changing my sig, because Wally said to, and I really like Wally, and I’ll do anything he says, anytime he says to.
