My son is taller than I am!

Well that was goofy! I took my son and his friend out to dinner last night for his 15th birthday. We were leaving the restaurant and his friend says “Hey Roger!” You’re taller than your Dad!"

My son turn’s around nose to nose with me and excalims delightedly! Yeah! I think I am Dad!"

I couldn’t help smiling. It was a slightly absurd and humorous moment! I’ve always told him when he was smaller, that he would likely be taller than me someday. He’s kept and eye on it as he’s inched closer and closer, but it was interesting to have him pass me without my even realizing it.

I’m 6’ 2" and a half so the only issue now is where it’s going to stop!

My 14 year-old son has been taller than me for a few months now. His 12 year-old brother is rapidly gaining on me. The older one can also beat me at arm-wrestling.

Since I’m a 5’4 woman, I guess that’s to be expected. But still… how weird.

Only the coolest Moms will arm wrestle their sons!

I can still handily whip his brother’s butt, with my non-dominant hand, too!

I’m still a few inches taller than my baby girl, but she has twice the boobage. And she teases me about it way too often.
*she’s 16 but will always be my baby girl~

I’m about an inch taller than my mom. And I half almost twice the boobage too. I pick on her about it, as often as I can. “Oh mom, want me to reach that for you? I wouldn’t want you to have to climb on the counter.”
I’m such a brat.

I ‘half’ almost twice the boobage? Wtf?
I guess that makes sense if you are thinking that I have 50% more…or, exactly the same amount…or maybe it makes no sense at all.

Yeah, probably that last one.

I passed my mother when I was about 11. I really enjoyed that. Of course, then I stopped growing, and now my male co-workers make fun of me for being short. I’m not particularly tall (5’5"), but I’m not short either!

It’s so strange when stuff like that happens. It always seemed right and proper that my brothers and I grow past our little 5’4" mom.
But when it happened to me, I was indeed a bit taken aback.
I am a mom, and both of my sons are well past my 5’6 1/2" self.
Younger son still has not quite surpassed his dad,but he is well on his way-- he’s gotta catch up with big brother.

It was a great day when my son looked at me and said, “hey, I’m taller than you!” Of course, I’m only 5’4", but it meant he was also taller than his dad (5’3") who was not as pleased when he saw his son a few months later and realized while we had won in the gene pool lottery, he had lost the “I’m bigger than you and you will listen to me” race. And for a man who has already got problems because of his height, a taller son (while something he had hoped for) was a harsh reality.

But now I make him get all the stuff down from high shelves for me!
