um, and when you read your role PM, before all of these comments were made, did you not notice that you were, in fact, a member of the Consolidated Alliance of Raftdwelling Slumlords?
Because, you know, that kinda stuck out to me, being right there in the Alignment part of my PM.
Yes, I noticed yesterday which team I was on. (It’s the good guys, I promise!)
And then I forgot which name went with which faction today. When I went back to the original post, I misread the sample PM and thought the Alliance were the bad guys.
So, you checled yesterday, and realized that your alignment, as stated “Consolidated Alliance of Raftdwelling Slumlords” was Town.
Then, the very next Day, you were taken aback upon seeing not only them, but also the Associated League of Evil mentioned. And, instead of remembering that you were actually a member of CARS, you jumped to the thought that there must be a 3rd party.
That’s all pretty sketchy to me.
My thoughts:
[ol]
[li]You are a member of ALE[/li][li]You were surprised to see anotehr team with a Scummy sounding name mentioned.[/li][li]You thought it meant there was a third faction[/li][li]You didn’t realize the scummy sounding name was actually the Town.[/li][/ol]
Yes, our team name was confusing.
[ol]
[li]I read it[/li][li]I went to be sure I was Town[/li][li]I was Town[/li][li]I didn’t forget my name[/li][li]I certainly didn’t forget it enough to be completely confused when faced with it in the Day 1 opening post when it showed up again just as it was in my PM.[/li][/ol]
Now, had I never seen it before, I might have thought it was a second Scum faction. It sure looks Scummy to someone who didn’t really need to notice it.
And Town really needed to notice it because no where in my role PM does it say Town. That’s one reason why it stuck out. It meant I had to KNOW that the Consolidated Association of Raftdwelling Slumlords was Town. If I didn’t KNOW that, I didn’t know I was Town.
So you’re telling me that you did know it, but then you forgot, and when exposed to the name again, it didn’t ring any bells but immediately made you think of another enemy of the Town.
Yes, it rang a bell. That’s why I went and checked. And when I read the rules post, I misread it and thought it was the scum team. So, since I now thought that the scum team was called the alliance, I figured that was why it rang a bell.
That’s game analysis and is completely different because some of the players are trying to snow you. There’s no shame in jumping on the wrong person, we’ve all done it. It’s something else to forget what your PM says.
Like I said, people are always trying to snow you. (I always love it when people vote for someone who is dead or someone who just claimed masons, especially when they get lynched for it and especially when they are town.)
So, I am confused already, my usual state in these games. This is the first time I have played a closed game. I also thought that Raftdwelling Slumlords was a scummy sounding name, although I don’t think I would have forgotten it.
It just worries me that Astral could forget his alignment and is it possible that there is a third faction? Ok, to my answer my own question, it is possible but is it likely?
