George Harrison

There’s a George Harrison song I would like to rediscover. All I remember about it is it has an upbeat tune, and he is accompanied by possibly several male voices with a lot of base to them. At least one of the vocalists voice had mild raspiness - very pleasant though - kind of like Louis Armstrong. Most of the base in the song was provided by the vocalists. This is all I remember, but I would love to find it.

Could be a song from The Travelling Wilburys. This might be better off over in the Cafe.

You are right. It is a good idea to put in the Cafe. I have both of the Wilbury’s albums - There’s only two right?

Questions about the Arts are better in Cafe Society. Moved from General Questions.

Could it be “Handle With Care” by the Traveling Wilburys? It was certainly a very upbeat song. The Wilburys consisted of Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan, and Roy Orbison. Dylan and Petty both have pretty raspy voices, but I suppose Dylan’s would stand out more.

Here’s the video on YouTube.

Another big Wilbury’s song was End of the Line.

Yes, just two albums.

Yeah, naming the second one “Vol. 3” was just a whoosh on their part.

Strictly in the spirit of fighting ignorance, not trying to be rude, but when you’re referring to music, it’s spelled “bass”, not “base”. Still pronounced the same, though.

Kinda random, but could it be Jeff Lynne’s “Don’t Let Go?” Many of the Wilburys did similar-sounding solo stuff in the late 80’s, and they can be easily confused.

Well, “Armchair Theater” did have George Harrison, but not Tom Petty or Bob Dylan, and the OP did mention that at least one of the vocalists had a raspy quality to his voice.

I did some extensive searching today and found the song I was looking for. Here is the link for everyone’s enjoyment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckhYHwldi5g.
