George Harrison/Traveling Wilburys Question

When George and 'nem did their 2 (what? CD’s? Tapes?) performances as The Traveling Wilburys did he know he had cancer and is that why I hear such a spirited voice on the songs End of The Line and Headed For The Light?

I miss George and Roy, by the way. Y’all too?

Q

No, it’s not about his illness. (Doesn’t everybody have a song called End of the Line? ;)) The first Traveling Wilburys album is 15 years old. The cancer was just in the last couple of years of his life.

I miss Roy and the Wilburys.

I bet this guy misses Roy, too.

I ran across this review HERE for “End Of The Line” that might be of interest.

Few albums turned out as perfectly as Wilburys Vol 1.

nebco9: Thanks so much for the link, and I couldn’t have stated it better myself! Welcome to our little disfunctional family!

I remember reading comments by Tom Petty and the others in Rolling Stone, after Roy’s death, talking about starting the band, and all of them being giddy as kids at the thought of having Roy in the band. Damn, they all sounded good together. Wish they could have put out more albums.
